Therapist here & I’m SO proud of you! ☺️💕 finding a therapist is a lot like online dating- totally normal to have a gut reaction right away & want to choose someone else! Also- I suggest to my clients (and I think most clinicians alike will) when you start off to once a week or at least every other week so you can build that comfy cozy relationship! That’s where good therapy comes from! Then once you have that feeling you can spread out to once a month or as needed ☺️🫶🏼

Hey Sophie! I’m the same age as you - I recently got my first internal ultrasound and pap smear, it’s so normal to feel anxious and vulnerable… but knowing you are actively taking your health and well-being into your own hands and making it a priority is so empowering as a young woman! ❤️

I’ve had so many internal ultrasounds going to the appointment for the first time is the hardest part. I found them not to be to bad at all. If you have a women’s ultrasound place there go to that they have some in Melbourne. If not when you ring up to make an appointment just ask if the appointment will be with a female if that will make you more comfortable

Hey. I am a little behind on catching up on videos after Christmas, but hopefully you get this comment still. I am the girl who mentioned I also have severe health anxiety a while back and I mentioned that I that seeing a psychologist with expertise in the area was game changing for me. If you need a recommendation, she is available over zoom/telehealth. Happy to try help in anyway possible. Side note, I see here via telehealth now because I moved to Brisbane for work last year. I saw you and Sam in the city once and I got so excited and I wanted to say hello but also didn't want to interrupt, but it made my week :) You're awesome, and an inspiration and congratulations on killing it in 2023. also, random book recommendation, super easy YA read, but The End Of Mr. Y by Scarlett Thomas would be good for book club discussion.

I recommend taking Sam with you when you go for your internal ultrasound. It can help to have someone you trust with your body reassuring you that it’s okay to ground you.
