what should we focus on if we find that there is lag from the moment the ball hit the wall to the moment we see the visual representation of the ball hitting the wall in the physical world.

With 30fps fast balls are also detected. From 10 shots its likely to get at least 8 to 9.

How does the code know, when the ball hits the surface? Is it because the shadow is close to the ball?

Its based on its position and size. The shadow is not always visible so its might not be a good indicator.

@@manifestasisanubari Yes I tried doing that, but did not get consistent results. I guess bcz we rely on multiple positions rather than one. And if anyone of those is corrupt then we get wrong output.
