This video walks through some basics of using a variety of lab tools normally not covered in other tutorials. The tools used here are: Dial gage and stand, measuring part heights using gage blocks as a reference, Trimos electronic height gage for standing heights and hole diameters, Use of Optical comparator (also called a shadowgraph), basic use and measurements using a Keyence digital microscope and use of a depth micrometer. Admittedly an eclectic mix of tools. Also this corresponds with lab 1 of Goodwin's BMM229 class.
