The ambient lighting came automatic in the 2018 Maxima SV and I loved it. It doesn't come with the 2020 Maxima Platinum 😢😢

Good thing I stripped off the lighting from my previous Altima to add to the newer one. The lighting on my 2019 is so dim but I think it is due to the position of the lights. Also there is an obstruction under the passenger glove box which also doesn't help. The brightest is light blue or white but u can forget about red since you can barely see it

Don’t waste your money. Product is horrible. You can only see the lights if you stick your head under the steering wheel and look directly at it.

Installed aftermarket FWL in my 2008 Altima Coupe--Awesome! Only comes on when you open the door, fades off with the dome lights... cannot see why you would want it on when you're going down the road...nothing but a distraction.

$ 479.80 ( Can. ) for this interior mood lighting in my 2019 Altima Platinum ,, funds being refunded by the dealership. General manager of my local Nissan dealership has contacted Nissan Canada to voice his displeasure. I love the exterior lighting but the interior certainly is not as advertised.

False advertising. The lights are no where near as bright as they are advertised in this video and on their website. They get you spending $500+ on parts and service for some of the dimmest lights I’ve ever seen.

Are they that dim at night? I'd expect these to really only be visible when it's dark in the car Update: Yeah, just had mine installed. It should be criminal how misleading this advertisement is.

So true. My 2016 Maxima had them and they were ok, barely passable. I got a 2023 Maxima and in this one the light is so dim it’s a joke. I asked Dealer and they said they had no idea why factory did it like that, and they wouldn’t “fix it”.

This is blatant false advertising, the final product looks nothing like this. My dealership (which charged me $850 for parts + labor) had me contact Nissan Consumer Affairs to have this refunded - apparently I'm not the first customer to have this complaint.

Antholito I am having the same problem but Nissan Consumer Affairs just told me to get a second opinion and go back to the dealer to fight it. No help at all do you have names and phone numbers I can contact.

@@kathleensaid Forgot to update this, I'm basically out of luck - consumer affairs told me it was the dealer's problem and the dealer told me it wasn't on them

I just had this installed today and compared to what they advertise in this video and make it look really cool! I couldn't be any more disappointed & dissatisfied! You can barely see the accent lighting in my car and it's not even remotely as bright shown in this video. Talk about misleading the consumer & false advertising! I give Nissan two thumbs down!

Thank you! I just got the 2019 Altima SL Platinum. It comes with interior accent lighting, and after a long while, I finally figured out how to turn it on. You can barely tell it's on. It's just a very thin strip on each door, and a small light above the driver's side and the passenger's side heat vent. I didn't notice it it anywhere else. And the lighting is white. I can't figure out how to make it change colors. I must be doing something wrong.

@@impulsedaniel Just FYI there's an issue with the naming - yes the Platinum trim has the accent lightning but it's just strips in the driver/passenger door as well as above the air vents. The lights in this video are a completely different kit that the dealer has to install separately and will run you ~$500 installed As far as the pre-installed lights, you can turn them up in the vehicle settings menu in the screen you control with the buttons on the steering wheel

I have the 2017 Nissan Rogue Star Wars edition. I bought it used and the footwell lights never were on. I think somehow I bumped something and now I see black light footwell lights. Is there a button somewhere to turn on and off the accent lighting?

This is trash. I just paid $600 to have this added to my 2020 Altima. I need a refund or something because the final product compared to the advertised one is a bigger difference than a big Mac in a commercial versus one you get at 2 am. Final product is so dim you can only see 3 of 20 colors in pitch black. The rest are faint glows and the 3 you see are barely above faint.

I've seen this complaint, but I've also seen other people say it's fine and the lighting in my own is also fine, so it might be two different types of lighting kits, or maybe some models of Cube don't supply the accent lighting with enough power
