Important to keep in mind that your bedroom window may be your only means of egress in the event of a fire. If there is only one window in the room, blocking it is a safety issue.

I always think having the head of your bed up against a window must be cold in the winter months, unless you have, at least, double glazed windows, and thermal drapes.

I would love to put my headboard in front of the window. I can't because 1) outside my bedroom is too noisy 2) the room isn't wide enough to fit both nightstands beside my bed if turned that way 3) I wouldn't be able to open one side of my dresser drawers. Tiny bedroom syndrome lol. I do love the look of a window front placed bed though. Especially with blackout curtains, which I have.

If window leaks air in cold/hot weather, time for new windows to save on HVAC costs.

Would love a video about all the different kinds of lighting. My husband brought home some lightbulbs that were on the cooler spectrum that literally hurt my eyes. Warm vs cool lighting and all the different kinds of lighting. Love your channel.

LED: 3000 Kelvins and below is soft warm. Over 3500 is getting more white and even higher gets what I call garage harsh. Lightning is EVERYTHING (well it makes or breaks an interior). I’m going to definitely watch for her video in May!

It's not just T.V.s, also art work is hung too high. This is paired with curtains that are hung too low.

Having televisions up so high drives me nuts. Not only does it look ridiculous, it's bad for one's neck. And too small a rug is up there with all the furniture clinging to the walls. Pet peeves.

ATTENTION: The tv above the fire place is only safe if the fireplace is not lit! That means that this solution is good for summer and limited in the winter.

No, I don't have my TV mounted above the fireplace. Perish the thought! But it is mounted somewhat high on another wall. Here was my reasoning: 1. Doing so draws the eye up in my small living room. 2.On a shelf above the tv, I have an antenna at a height that gets me the best reception. Unfortunately, that meant going high. Too far above the tv, and the antenna also doesn't give good reception, or look good. Alternatives? Help!

I've renovated my home in Orkcore. The look is dominated by red, grey, and brown. Brown leather and brown wood. Grey concrete, grey iron, grey stone, occasionally grey stained wood such as my house number sign. Red leather, sedona red stained wood, a bit of red trim, red painted roof. Dark ages war/hunting weapons such as battleaxes, shields, and spears as decorations. Hide rugs and Navajo rugs. Raw materials and recycled materials such as barnwood tables. Exposed industrial elements such as large bolts where practical and industrial iron brackets. Pointiness added everywhere it can be done safely, such as pointy plants, pointy curtain-rods, pointy fencing, pyramid tacks, horns, antlers.

Love your channel, but it seems like every interior design/decorating blog, channel, etc., goes over the same few things over and over. Rug size, height of wall art, plenty of lighting, the importance of window treatments, etc. The end result is that we are being told things we already know if we follow the topic at all. Caroline Winkler did a fantastic video showing a variety of rooms and pointed out the things that made them *special*. One of the best videos I’ve seen, and plenty to take away and think about. No offense. 😊

I thought maybe I would interject with my 'thought'. If your friend is watching tv while laying down on his back on a couch, or sitting reclining on a la-z-boy(reclining chair)he would need his tv to be higher, than if he was sitting upright.
