Hi, I don’t think 1 hr would be enough to go to Iseltwald and back. Taxi or bus would definitely be quicker but only if your timing is precise, when the bus is ready to leave. Note that the buses are also rare and scheduled, and honestly, I haven’t seen a taxi. If you want to take a photo at the piano scene, there’s also a queue. I even heard from recent travelers (can’t verify) that there’s already a small fee to take photo in that spot due to overcrowding.

Hi! Iseltwald is a village so you can visit it even during winter season. However, please check if the cruise/ferry is operating on specific dates. I suggest you check the BLS website. You can also visit Iseltwald by riding the bus.

Look up and visit Lauterbrunnen, Wengen, Grindelwald and Murren. Interlaken is a good base but not the most scenic so visit those places I mentioned.

Hello! Pwede kayo sumakay ng train to Interlaken from Zurich. May direct train from Zurich airport to Interlaken. Then from Interlaken, ifollow nyo lang po yung ginawa kong pagsakay sa ferry or sa bus to Iseltwald. Use Google Maps po at makikita nyo dun ang schedule ng trains at direction. Mahal ang pamasahe sa Switzerland so depending on your itinerary, consider buying a Swiss Travel Pass or Half fare card.

@TitaNaBusy to be honest, it’s not worth it to stay a night in Iseltwald. Hindi sya talaga main tourist spot for non-Asians na di nanood ng CLOY. It’s picturesque but nothing to do much. A half day trip is enough. For first timers in Switzerland with very limited time, I would rather recommend spending time in Lucerne, Grindelwald, or Lauterbrunnen.

Meron sa Klook Half fare card pero sa SBB (official site ng trains nila) ako bumili. CHF120 po yun, mahal pa rin, pero valid for 1 month. Nadidiscount lang nya fares mo. Need nyo po pag aralan kung saan kayo makakatipid - kung walang card, Swiss Travel Pass, Half fare card, o Berner Oberland Pass. May vloggers na detailed ang discussion sa mga cards na yan. May nameet ako na di bumili card kasi kinuwenta daw nila at sa itinerary nila, di nila kailangan.

The discount passes are expensive so unless you will be staying for the full duration of the passes (at least 3 days for the Swiss Travel Pass and Berner Oberland Pass), then I will not recommend getting it. I suggest checking the fare in advance through the SBB app.

I wasn’t able to track my expenses but approximately, I spent USD2,100 excluding the plane tickets. That includes the hotels, food, tours, and my trip to Barcelona, Spain.

Hi! I felt safe in Switzerland as it’s one of the countries with lowest crime rate. But still be alert and mindful of surroundings just like in any city. I’m used to being alone and with groups so I didn’t feel out of place. You can ask other travelers to take your photos. There will be times that you may feel alone and sad if you’re the type who prefers company but it’s just a phase. You can also meet people during the trip but just note that after the trip, you all have different lives. Just arrive on time to ensure you don’t miss any pre-booked tours or transportation. The Swiss are known for being precise and on time. Enjoy your trip!

Yes, I took the train several times and it was effortless. You may download the SBB app so you can just buy the tickets through the app and show the QR code to the inspector when they check.

Hello! There is a timetable but the time varies per weekday, weekend, holiday, and season. I suggest just searching “Lake Brienz cruise timetable” so you will be directed to the BLS website. The earliest closing time I saw was 5:30PM but there’s also 6:30pm.

Hi po! I bought Berner Oberland Pass since I stayed in the Jungfrau Region for 3 days. Ang Swiss Travel Pass kasi, hindi nya covered yung ibang cable cars. So depende po sa itinerary ninyo kasi mahal din ang Swiss Pass. I also bought a Half fare card to cover my trip to other parts (Zurich, Lucerne, Geneva).

Hi! The boat station is near Interlaken Ost. It’s just walking distance from the station and there are signs where to exit to reach the pier.

@@djrounak I think it’s tucked in my Grindelwald vlog. It was great! Wengen is just small but very scenic. It’s overlooking Lauterbrunnen.

@djrounak Wengen is beautiful but I still highly recommend visiting Grindelwald if you’re already there. It’s just near. There are also more activities to do in Grindelwald.

A ferry

Yes, you can use the Swiss Travel Pass. However, for cable cars, it’s only discounted. So depending on your itinerary and length of stay, a Swiss Travel Pass may not be the best option. I used Berner Oberland Pass since my itinerary covers the Jungfrau region.

@@maisonandco I didn’t have Swiss Travel Pass as I purchased Berner Oberland Pass (BOP). BOP covers the ferry, and I think the Swiss Travel Pass covers it too (or at least a discount). You can always buy the ticket at the port.
