This is an INTERMEDIATE crafting guide, for the gear you want to make when your character is already able to farm your Atlas strategy. Timestamps are available, feedback is welcome to improve the format!
The video is amazing, the only feedback that I have is that when you're unveiling helmet preffix I'm almost sure the mod you have to block is the +1 skeletons +1 zombies mod
Good stuff. I would love a montage of the gear upgrades when you do a league start. Take note of when your are in hitting maps I would think and what piece you have in each slot and how you got it. Then, in yellow show each item and how it was made and what not, then red, then late game/bosses. Something like this, but using what you actually did for your build. I thinking making it 1:1 with whatever league start video you produce will help out a lot of people.
This video helped me a lot! I crafted this body armour with less than two divines: t1 additional phys dmg reduction, t2 suppress spell damage, t3 fire res, t2 life, t3 % increased armour and evasion, t5 armour and evasion (not optimal but didnt want to invest much more). Thanks for explaining the eldritch part, I didnt know about that.
How about a crafting series where you actively go through the currencies, then explain how to gather them and what you need them for? By the way, trading in the game always feels like losing, since newbies like me don't have the experience for crafting or the ressources to just "play around" I wish your videos would help me play POE, but unfortunately I feel like a primary school student at university every time. I've been following you on RU-vid since Ritual and always thought I understood the game and the possibilities better through your videos. Don't get me wrong. Some videos are very helpful. But this video is not directed at me at all. I don't know if others feel this way, but for me the problem with "crafting" is that I don't know the possibilities and I don't have a chance to really experience them when I play. Especially when you were talking about what base of helmets to use for yourself and why. How the hell is someone like me supposed to know that the base on helmets have a preference for certain "rolls". This game is full of hidden and unexplained knowledge and that already makes the game pretty hard for me to enjoy. The "POE" community and the game feel like a government agency and everyone is stingy with knowledge in order to be most successful in the next season. Craft of Exile is a good example of content being produced by the community for the community. But not for the newcomers. Why is such information not on a page like this?
You know I just crafted a chest before watching this guide and I wasted a lot of currency because I was probably blocking mana instead of the block chance.
Thank you for all you do! Your videos help me immensely as a new player coming to PoE after D4 flopped (luckily I didn't buy it considering the Blizzard track record). I tried PoE years ago and uninstalled the second I saw the skill tree. With your videos and other youtubers, it made PoE really fun to play for me. Keep it up!
how do i know which base to pick tho? that’s been the hardest part to learn for me and i can’t find a good resource to talk through how to pick a base type
Hey Ziz, I think two toned STR DEX is actually more armor evasion? Even if you overwrite the implicit for eldritch, it should still better. Not a big deal but could matter if you are searching trade
You can get embers/ichor from Eater/Exarch altars, but the Eldritch Chaos & Eldritch Annuls are expensive because they're mostly Eater/Exarch drops themselves. Deterministic currencies (removing a prefix/suffix) if Eater or Exarch are dominant will naturally be expensive.
For me personally, I have gotten to a point where I can craft most helms, boots and gloves. Even some rings depending on the build. There are some chests that still seem fuzzy to me. I struggle with a lot more niche crafts. I wish there was someone would would make dedicated videos for crafting specific rares. The idea alone gives you content for years lol. No one is willing to do it though.
on Craft Of Exile, each possible affix tells you if it belongs to a group, you can't have more than one from the same group on an item. So by using the crafting bench you can tip the odds by crafting an affix that belongs to the same group as some of the unveiled mods you don't want, then when you go to unveil the game will check which affixes are allowed before giving you your 3 choices, and by blocking the more common ones you don't want, you increase the odds of unveiling the one you do
The thing that truly PISSES me off about crafting is having go shop for currency items and have people not respond to your requests. I really don't know how SSF peeps deal with it.
Because you can't naturally roll mana on a body armor unless it's Crusader or Shaper influenced, so blocking mana is useless whereas blocking either Block Attack or Block Spell is good as they both have 2000 weight. @@mattb6646
There is too much assuming that the viewer understand whats the things like Eldritch crafting does. You're just using shit and assuming we know what's going on. We don't know whats going on thats why we're here.
