Maestro Sakamoto drew inspiration from recordings of Glenn Gould playing Brahms while flying in an airplane. The inspiration in some pieces of Opus 117 and 118 are quite clear and the name of the piece an obvious reference. What a great loss.😢. Great performance.
Thanks for watching!! I love Brahms's intermezzo played by Gould too. I think that especially 118-2 is the most beautiful song in the world. I want to play it someday and publish it on my channel. Thanks😊
i love your music selection and your style of playing! it's very clean and the sound quality is excellent. i've recently been listening to your sakamoto and evangelion playlists while doing work and it's helped me to stay focused and relaxed. on top of that, i've also been inspired to learn some of these songs on the piano myself. you really deserve a lot more subs!
Thanks for listening to my performance. I am very happy if it helps you in your day to day life. Playing the piano help you to change your mood, doesn't it? May your days be enriched. Thank you.
Dear KenBanMusic, may I ask where did you find this sheet music? I purchased one that supposedly was an official transcription… but it has many octaves and chords very different than Sakamoto’s recording :( I feel robbed. Maybe you could share where can we find the sheet music you played beautifully :) thanks!
