i started fasting at 25. I do 16/8 to 18/6, ive done 20/4 before but its intense and feels amazing! and have 1 huge meal between 6pm and 7pm and try to be asleep before 10pm. i cant stop because the way my brain feels, the clarity is amazing! everyday by noon im already 16 hours in. it is extremely difficult and im mad half the time lol but it works! Most people wont be able to hack all my ex GFs failed. It takes years to do it without having to think about it.

Yes intermittent fasting helps me lower my AIC(blood sugar level) from 6.7 down to 5.4, and so with my glucose level my liver enzyme to normal level as well and I have lost 10lbs to 12lbs in 6 months and I include brisk walking in a nearby park or stationery walking and dancing with my favorite music like disco from the 70s80s so that’s my experience. This is part of my life now and the best form to be healthy, I’m also enjoying my wardrobe,no more bulging 😉😊

I am curious how long did you fast for? My brother is diabetic and wanted to give him info on IF but not sure the ratio for diabetics.

@@lakelillianhomestead5212 it took me 6 months I chose 16/8 to get use to fasting , coz16 hrs fasting during sleeping time at night and 8hrs window time to eat , plus excersice I do walking only 30 mins at first then added more as long as I can tolerate , but I advise that he should chk with his primary MD first and I recommend to understand it better watch Dr Jason Fung in RU-vid. That’s how I understand this lifestyle better good luck 👍

I started fasting (not religious one) eating one or two nice meals a day (breakfast and lunch) and now hitting 14 years without getting single noticeable disease/sickness considering I live in tropical area where its hard to escape a year without disease/sickness Also my weight since 2016 plays between 60-64kgs Fun fact: Out of curiosity I tried not eating for almost a day and a half but It seems like my body forgotten what hunger is! it felt like I already ate a few hours back

Have been doing intermittent fasting and making Vitruvin Health anti-aging supplement for over a year, and I could say that people who don't believe in longevity would still support those of us who do, coz after all it's NOT just a life, but it's OUR LIFE and we couldn't restore it once it's gone. 😇🤩

Tip 1: Change your mindset about food. Find a reason why you should fast daily. Tell yourself: "I dont need food to be happy or active. I always feel better when i do not eat..." If you are a Christian then you can add this: "It helps curb my desires and gives me more time to think and pray" Tip 2: Intermittent Fasting is a must do. Forget about keto diet, etc cos they are temporary and not habitual... IF is habitual and sustainable. Do not fast less than 16 hours a day. I do 18 or 20 daily, and drink water regularly... Tip 3: Meal prep is very important... Make sure you prepare your meals to last for at least 1 week, and they are easily microwaveable. It will stop you from eating unhealthy or unplanned meals. Ensure you add alot of veggies to your meals like carrots, beet, greens, ball peppers, tomatoes, cucumbers, etc... They boost metabolic burning process and make your food rich... Tip 4: Less cardio, more strength exercises... Cardio makes you exhausted when fasting, but strength makes you feel stronger and muscle building increases your daily metabolic burning rate... I am 1-2 months in, already burnt more than 30% body fat, fitting into old clothes, feeling healthier, lighter and stronger... CONSISTENCY IS KEY!!! I wish you the best 👍

Research has also shown that people who don't eat breakfast eat more calories during the day, have more accidents and are less mentally alert.

Since I got corona, I am having a lot of trouble of arthritis during intermtten fasting, I can't stand ceiling fan air even in summer. Why are the muscles and joints pain in fasting? But before Corona, there was no such problem. Please reply.

10 years ago its 16/8 or better. 14/10 is not fasting thats like just forgetting to eat breakfast. yes do it everyday not 3 days a week thats for a 24+ fast

It is a lifestyle. I have done IF everyday for 18 months. Love how I feel and the health benefits that come from it. I usually eat my food within 5 hours a day, but if I am out for a special reason, I lengthen my eating time but usually never longer than 8 hours. It is SO easy and SO beneficial!!!!

@@peace-and-quiet Your human growth hormones (HGH) that become inactive as you age are kicked in again with IF and start repairing your body like they did when you were young. My hair, skin etc have greatly improved. I have also added collagen daily. I have lost a lot of fat and pounds, and IF builds muscle. My Insulin levels improved and cells repair themselves better. It increases your metabolism. My stomach is flat and inflammation is gone. I am 67 years old, 145 pounds, a loose size 8, and 5"9" tall so a great size for my height. I sleep really well and have endless energy. The fact that it helps prevent cancer and Alzheimers thrills me. I eat healthy whole food and greatly limit processed foods especially ultra-processed things. My doctor is thrilled with what I have done and how healthy I have become. Best decision I ever could have made to live as healthy as I can be for the rest of my life. Also read the book...Eat To Beat Disease...for foods that help you live a better, healthy, longer life

During the fasting, can you drink a zero calorie sugar free flavored drink? Walmart makes the little packets that you add to your water to flavor it. Thanks to whoever answers

No cause even fake sugar breaks a fast. It’s recommended to drink only water or black coffee no sugar or cream or unsweetened tea during a fast

I think if you don't eat health foods and limit your food intack then the fasting will not help you. I changed my diet to only natural foods and no highly processed foods and avoiding sugar and processed flour. In 5 weeks I lost 20 pounds. I looking at intermittet fast as a way to keep ketos in my blood system longer and speed up my weight loss. If you over eat while you and take in a lot of carbs from soda or fast food you have more problems than lossing weight. Eat health when your not fasting and eat foods like green vegitables avoid foods that are heavly processed.
