Bowl Games are a staple of the holiday season for a lot of football fans across America. Sitting down at home and watching two teams celebrate their winning season with a bout for a trophy in a vacation destination is a memory a lot of us share. But some families travel outside of the country for the holiday---and like some families, some college football teams do, as well.
Despite this, very few postseason bowl games have managed to escape the borders of the United States. The Big 12 is even looking at creating a new bowl in Mexico. But most of this has to do with bowl travel. But a few games have managed to be scheduled and played outside of the country. In this video, I'll take a look at three bowl games that were played (the Bacardi Bowl, the International Bowl, and the only current international bowl, the Bahamas Bowl) and one that wasn't (the Haka Bowl) and examine their histories and why they stuck around or didn't.
