This is an international Famous engine's first start in years. We believe it came from a shearing shed because this engine came from a farm but you wouldn't want to rely on it.
It's really odd that it would be so hard to start. IHC engines are generally known for being pretty reliable and good running. The constant sucking makes me think it's having fuel delivery problems. If it was too much fuel it would be constantly firing, but not reaching a speed to lock the exhaust valve open. If it's still having issues, y'all should have somebody go through the fuel system and make sure everything is setup right. It could also be an ignition problem. Mag might need to be recharged or the ignitor might be fouled and need a cleaning.
