@Debraj Paul for knowledge on planted tank you can follow, green machine, 2hraquarist, wasabi, also they are very good and huge information are there. Mr. Mayur may have lesser knowledge but the way he explain things is exceptional and arguably the best in Indian platform. I also thought previously he explain good but at the end he try to promote ADA products, when I realise from challenging factors like light, filter, aquasoil, fert etc. The chance of success is higher with brand such as ADA, Tropica, seachem, newly (APT products), Nika etc. Finally want to say: there are lots of my fellow aquarist who follow Green Aqua but use DIY light, filter, soil etc. And at the end they left the hobby and became aquarium plant reseller after procuring stocks from Galiff market Kolkota, good for them!

I have done some research on eliminating Nitrates. One can use a mixture of Attapulgite sand garnished with Laterite in a Filter to keep a check on Nitrates as it breaks down Nitrate molecules into Nitogen and oxygen by means of ion exchange.

Don't know if it's true or not..I am using laterite stones as a decoration in my planted tank and my nitrates are at zero.. May be because of heavy plantation.

Sir first of all thank you so much for making such a informative and full of clarity video. Mujhe kuch doubts hain meri aquarium hobby ko le kar aur shayad you are the right person to ask. 1. mere pass already set 6 ft ka aquarium hai, by chance agar us mein issue ho jaata hai toh existing fishes ko save karne k liye what step should I take? 2. In any case agar mujhe mere main tank mein salt add karna padey then what should I do to save beneficial bacteria aur beneficial bacteria kis limit tak salt tolerate kar sakte hain (for both epsom and normal salt)? 3. Agar mujhe kisi reason se main tank ko medicate karna padey then in that case how to save beneficial bacteria aur kaun kaun si medicine beneficial bacteria k liye harmful hai for example anti ich, anti bacteria, paracidol etc. Sir ummid karta hu aap meri es bahut lambe time se chalti aa rahi query ko dur karenge aur mere sath sath dusro ko bhi aapke jawab se fayda milega. Good video and initiative. Nice to learn what is right and not. I have seen similar questions over internet. One question is like "I have pH test kit and it pH is around 8, which is good. Is my pH test enough to tell me about ammonia, nitrite and nitrate in my aquarium? My pH and TDS are fine, but my plants are not at all growing". And answer to that was "pH is directly proportional to ammonia, nitrite and nitrate levels, so doing only pH test is enough. Coming to plant growth, you might be using a sponge filter or under gravel filter. Please use a canister". If you can solve this myth, it would be good for lot of people.

I would have started CO2 in my planted tank a long time ago, just due to internet videos I thought my planted tank will do well. In time I started using CO2 but there are still some famous American aquarist who still believe and spread this propaganda that planted aquarium can do well without CO2 and are even successful in selling planted tank related products.
