I wasn't sure what to expect from this game but I'm enjoying learning more about Sam and the clients' stories. I wonder if it'll have you give Andy therapy at some point, like a final boss lol
I'm not yet sure how I feel about this. Or at least Sam. He's suppose to be hundreds of years old, and he's supposed to be relatively well versed in vampire (and potentially human) nature, yet he comes across as a bit of a dolt when it comes to modern terminology, technology, and some behaviours. I get being stuck in your ways, and taking the journey to educate and improve and expand... but he's definitely a little oblivious to quite a bit. He is very likeable in his simple-ness though. I am looking forward to the rest of the playthrough, though! I'm hoping for a lot of evolution.
With the disclaimer I've put very little thought into this lol, but I wonder whether the age you are when you 'die' and are turned into a vampire affects your attitude to things - eg Signora d'Este was older and seems rooted in how things were in her day (viewing of Star Wars notwithstanding lol), Sam was middle-aged and as someone of around that age I can sympathise with a certain bafflement of new technologies! Meanwhile, Meddy, although she has been a vampire for so long, was relatively young when she turned and seems the most receptive to the modern world. Just a thought - like I said I've not really thought it through in any detail! 😂
Wasn't Sam supposedly just walking through the woods for the past 90 years or something? Seems like that might be at least a partial explanation for why he's so out of touch.
There are pockets of the USA where some people can live their entire lives without speaking or learning English. Others where people avoid using technology intentionally. Although it seems comical for these characters to wear costumes from their era till the modern time, its not entirely unrealistic for them to be out of touch with current events
@@boringdadgaming Definitely less of that, yes...So far, at least. Give them 1800 years and I imagine they'd go that direction, too, though, eventually,
