ABSTRACT: Brant Pitre argues that if the Eucharist is read in light of the Hebrew Passover, a case can be made for a Real Presence doctrine. In this video, I read from my book, Eating Christ’s Flesh: A Case for Memorialism (Cascade, 2023), in which I respond to this claim. To the contrary, interpreting the Eucharist in a Paschal context supports a Memorialist conception.
