I grew up in the grunge era. Like I was 13 when Nevermind came out. My favorite album in that era was Core by STP. And it's not even close. Chester blessed us old heads with this one.

I think so. He takes singing very serious. He pulls the mic away and stands still on the parts that require him to. He’s singing in his own voice too not trying to sound like Scott at all and it sounds perfect.

@@adammammana367 yes he took music and singing very seriously. He was extremely motivated to be musician and he did everything he could and successed it perfectly. Stone temple pilots was his biggest dream and I am so very happy for him. He really earned that place,everyone saw his talent and how multi versatile his voice was. I think making music and performancing kept him alive longer than without it. I pray he finally found peace🙏 Take care,greetings from Finland.

@@suvituulikkivahanen2600 making music definitely kept him alive. Specifically, making music with LP- he said in an interview once that if it wasn't for his bandmates in that band, he'd be dead.

sorry to say but Chester is the closest you'll get to Scott's voice.hes great! at first I was not interested in watching someone replacing Scott.but I opened up my mind and I'm glad I did cause Chester did an amazing job.rip Chester and Scott.

Well, let's be honest here... If you attend a rock show, expecting to see a band that historically has delivered a great show time and time again, and the singer was half ass you would be totally correct to express that no matter what you're own ability is. Just like you, no matter what your profession was, would be disappointed and call him a bad craftsman if the plumber caused a flooding of your basement. When it came to Chester though he had huge shoes to fill and that's always a tough gig. It can't be ignored that he was a great singer and a massive STP fan since youth. I can't think of anyone doing the job better when it comes to honoring the songs and STP's legacy. Since STP definitely weren't going to try with Scott anymore it was probably one of not many ways STP fans had a chance to once more enjoy a great f*cking band live. He did great and haters are always gonna hate!

Chester blows dick. He should have offed himself sooner. And yes I could do far better than Chester. I can put my money were my mouth is on this one.

Why? Scott sometimes replaced jim morrison, david bowie and others. Every singer has idols. Thats a normal situation.and also he created his own style on Linkin park, dont be sad about this.

Same as you dude. I was teenagers listening to Korn, Manson, Deftones, Metallica, and others. Linkin Park came up and it was some good stuff at this time (but 2 first album sound not as good now that i've grown up). I hate linkin park now. But Chester did good work here.

@@quintenskevin Why do you hate them? The first two albums are phenomenal still. Go back and listen to Chester's voice on those songs--it sounds like he recorded multiple tracks to create an effect (his iconic style), but he actually didn't. He had the ability to produce seemingly dual tones with his voice at the same time. Producers have made comments about this. It's not an easy thing to do.

100% i just listened to him sing 'Big Empty' and thought he did that song justice. Shows how versatile he was.

I kinda questioned Chester on vocals. Not the biggest Linkin Park fan. But after hearing his stuff I can say that he did a great job. The EP they put out was solid.
