Deans guitar sound is the absolute best. The big secret to his sound is the Demeter preamp. It just cuts through and never sounds muddy.

Chester had the time of his life performing with STP. It was a lifelong dream of his. I can't imagine how hard it must've been to quit so he could commit to Linkin Park. In a strange way, Linkin Park needed Chester more than Chester needed Linkin Park.

Never once listened to Linkin Park. But I’ve seen Chester now sing “Hunger Strike” w/Chris Cornell & this w/STP. He’s an Excellent singer. If I closed my eyes, I’d of thought that was Scott on a God night. Gotta start listening to LP. I think I heard “numb” by LP?? Gotta check it out.. losing Chris hurt….then Chester killed himself the same way at 41 YEARS OLD. Wow. What a loss. The 1 good thing is I get to go thru his stuff for the 1st time. Excellent voice!!
