the heartbreak when he is seeing himself in the past and trying to communicate with Murph.. to figure it out that the "they" is themselves and it was him reaching out for the first handshake

My grandpa is a farmer and he said once you grow Okra you can't stop it, so the fact that okra when extinct in the movie just shows how royally screwed they where.

The more you travel closer to the speed of light, the more time slows down relative to us. To the person traveling close to the speed of light, time seems to be going normal. So someone can go off and travel in space going super fast, come back and you'd have aged 20 years while that person only aged a week. Great reaction like always, my absolute favorite movie. The score is beautiful and the story is emotionally compelling, Incredible. Amazing. Spectacular. Stupendous. Breathtaking. Excellent. Perfect. These are all synonyms of this masterpiece of cinema. The sentence "because my dad promised me" always makes me cry heavily. Murph is the most important scientist in human history, she has changed the course of the future through scientific knowledge but she says that the very one thing she was certain in life was the love her father had for her, that made her certain of his return. There are some fun facts about this movie. The real TARS isn’t precisely the complex AI machine you saw in the movie; rather, TARS is a giant puppet. Interestingly, lollipop sticks inspired the robot’s design. Behind the 200lbs (90.72kg) robot was Bill Irwin, who voiced the character and controlled its movements. However, he left the more complicated moves for stunt man Mark Fichera, Christopher Nolan wanted that this movie to remain as close to actual science as possible. As a result, he joined forces with the 2017 Nobel Prize for Physics winner, Dr. Kip Thorne, on the project. However, it wasn’t all smooth sailing as Dr. Kip Thorne and Christopher Nolan had disputes, while Nolan wanted to exceed the speed of light, Dr. Thorne stood his ground about staying true to science. Nolan finally came around and agreed to Dr. Thorne’s solution. Keeping in line with Nolan’s desire to maintain scientific accuracy, Dr. Kip Thorne provided the theoretical equations for the wormhole and black hole simulation. Paul J. Franklin and his team at Double Negative developed new CGI software that could realistically represent scientific phenomena in the film. Nolan wanted a brand new score for Interstellar, and he got that, he contacted Hans Zimmer and asked him to develop the score for the movie. However, he didn’t give Zimmer much to go off on. He simply presented Zimmer with a single-page text describing the movie’s main themes. So, without a script, title, or plot details, Zimmer created the score for Interstellar, in the end the score successfully embodied the heart of the movie. The shoots filmed in Dr.Manns planet was shot in Iceland, Svínafellsjökull Glacier, east of Skaftafell, an outlet glacier of Vatnajökull in Vatnajökull National Park. Keep up the good work.

India, to answer your question, it's not a theory, it is fact that if you travel through space at high speed, you will age slower than ppl on earth that are NOT traveling at high speeds.

Amelia Brand landed on Edmunds' planet. Edmunds was her boyfriend from years ago. Miller's planet and Mann's planet orbited the Gargantua black hole and its companion star. Edmunds's planet orbited a nearby star, which orbited Gargantua from a much farther distance.

Did you know when they're on the water planet and it's 7 years per hour, you can hear a ticking sound in the background, which is every 1.25 seconds? Each click represents one day passing.

He exited the wormhole near Saturn. That's how he got back. It's connected to the black hole. In mathematics it's possible that a black hole powers a counterpart wormhole. Although we have never found one. They wouldn't' give off light. They would however distort space around it. And we do see that but think it's dark matter.

No ... Brand didn't go back to Mann's planet and get supplies. There was no way for her to do so. All the supplies were on the ship with her. The one thing that always bothered me about this movie was how Tom's story arc was never addressed at the end. It was left to assumption. It wouldn't have taken much to explain what happened to him and his family.

Nothing like a space movie to make you nervous

the science is a bit hard to understand at times but they do try to explain it for best understanding even for those of us who need more details

gravity affects time. any astronaut and cosmonaut who stayed at the international space station, are basically "time travellers". The gravity is greater at the ground, than the thermosphere, where the ISS is located at. its very very small numbers, but it is a proven fact. it can almost be observed on the ground aswell... like the pyramids in Egypt.. they have a great mass, mass affects gravity, gravity affects time, so it almost seems like when u look at ppl close to the pyramids, they "kinda" moves slower and reverses, if u swap places... Its also kinda like how perception of time becomes faster and faster as u get older... its just a saying, but i think we all have know it. "time flies"... ;) but time didnt f'ing fly when i was looking forward to go to a waterpark or wake up for christmas when i was a child LOL. Now its going waaay too fast lol... u see what i mean.. :p

It's true time changes based on where you are in space. Even satellites tick at a different rate and we have to compensate for it so we don't lose track of them.
