This is a great doc of him. You can see, what one of his teachers said...that deep down he is sensitive, quiet and kind of a loner. He's a true artist and is driven, because it is coming from his soul. I really admire his amazing, instinctive talent, perseverance, dedication and how hard he worked. Even with the discouragement and the tough times he went through in his life... He never gave up and he absolutely deserves all the success he has...he's earned it!
he is one of the worlds best actors i first remember him in that football hooligan film me and my m8s loved it we used to watch parts of his acting over and over, amazing actor
3:17 he could probably make a good Gordon Freeman if they were going to make a half-life movie. Hell, he could probably make a good anybody, because he's fucking amazing.
Only Kathy Burke made the comment (an actress). If you go back to wikipedia you will see she did very well in terms of nominations and awards (BAFTA, Cannes, etc.) - so for her (as an individual) the film changed her career commercially. If you listen again she is talking about herself participating in an "art house" movie; which projected her from unknown into a stratosphere of suddenly attending award ceremonies. You can see Kathy (then) is not the atypical award ceremony attending actress.
43:03 how can she say that "nil by mouth" ended up being a "commercial success"? according to the wikipedia it cost $9.000.000 and earned $266.130 at the box office.
