@@lodewykcoetzee4104 I wish I knew there was an official tour. Spent a few hours driving around most every street and at the coffee shops and restaurant in December. I was very impressed with the professionalism and industriousness. Was expecting some verkrampte dusty poverty riddled backwater with genuine people struggling to retain the past. Really happy I was wrong.

A FEW interesting facts: The 2 schools have 800 learners, the average citizen is 35 years old, The Hospital need to be expand and got 3 000 familiy files, full time doctor and anaestetic, Bo-Karoo training college for Electricians, plumbers etc. The are busy with 3 solar farms one of them already completed, when all of them is finished, Eskom can leave Orania, sewrage for 30 000 in place. 2 oldage homes. I foreseen a large town in a decade or two and a small city in decades. They plan to take over the country west of Orania up to the west coast. They bought the town of 400 hectares for R 1 600.00 and now own already 12 000 hectares. Regards!
@@lodewykcoetzee4104 Yes indeed , I took plenty photos and even a video of some guys cutting grass along the main road. A small but significant observation was that not one of the weed eaters were being reved into the red. They were being operated according to proper procedure for effectiveness , efficiency and longevity. It's in the details. That was only one of the small and not so obvious things I noticed. Like in Singapore , things are done for a purpose. Well done.
Hahah as an Aussie, I knew he was Australian as soon as I saw him. An Afrikaner friend of mine said SA was frustrating because 'nothing worked' rolling blackouts, incompetent bureaucracy, etc... I wonder if the reason are upset with Orania because it's working.

I think you would enjoy it if read in the context of the time…really gives an excellent history of three different diverse groups colliding….hard not to have respect for the Afrikaner Nation in addition to the Zulu tribe. The English come out as the villain in my opinion….
@@baer4547 This sounds really good. In my reading over many years I experienced similar. One excellent book I can recommend to you is Lobengula by Gustav Preller. This book becomes even more precious if you read in conjunction with Rhodesian Genesis written by Neville Jones. Gustav Preller brings a history in vivid colours that empires of the past do not really want people to know about. Stunning book !

If he is willing to adapt and learn the language and how the town operates as well as celebrate the festivals and traditions then he can. There are English speaking South Africans who moved there and adapted and became more Afrikaans as well as some Germans who did the same.
A lot of Americans are watching Orania because America is going exactly the way of South Africa, and the whites are standing with their back against the wall. Right now they are moving to Europe and start again in some European country, especially those with small kids, but establishing Orania-type of enclaves would be better.
Won't it be better for them to migrate and practice it out of Africa, because in Africa our culture is universal and united. They are bringing and enforcing a selfish culture and it won't end well
How can you claim a continent to be yours? Not all of Africa is inhabited by negroids. And the Boers were the first people in most places in south africa to cultivate and create settlements on that land.
It would be a novel idea for White South Africans to go back to Europe. Unfortunately, we do not have permission from the European governments. Furthermore, both the United Kingdom and The Netherlands, where the majority of White South Africans come from, have substantial non - White populations. Do you suggest Europe kick them out or is that racist?
