Grammy and Juno award winner Bryan Adams was in Toronto promoting his new upcoming album. Music reporter Rudy Blair spoke with Adams about his CD, Tracks of my Years.
I don't think he is stuck up - confident, yes. And maybe some people think he's arrogant due to his posture in the chair - but maybe he felt the interviewer was in his "personal space" while he leaned towards him. I certainly would have - I have a three foot "bubble" lol. Smart musician though - he has seen genres come and go, but still has his true fans. Canada rocks!!
Mr. Adams is a very private person (this guy is lucky he even accepted to do an interview.) and usually is not his best during interviews, kinda like Neil Young. Pair him up with an old Strat and that's a whole different story. Not to mention the huge awkward phallic mic being shoved in his face, why no clip on mics? lol
I came here via Live with Kelly & Michael on KCRA-TV Sacramento and the Tracks of My Years medley on RU-vid. Bryan Adams cover of The Association's Never My Love blows me away.
Not stuck up at all. Keeps his voice quiet as most singers do......probably has become just a habit for him. As for the arms being crossed, just him in his way of being comfortable. He has always been known to be quite a shy and humble person. Aside from all of this, he is an incredible talent, from songwriting to performing.
BA picked the best songs, and he is the only artist to do so. "Never My Love" is the best cover I have ever heard. He brought back the songs his parents liked because I am just 2 days older and these songs were on the radio when we were both 8.
Used to love this guy, still love his music and play it at my own gigs. I have found him to have become quite arrogant of late however. Still does good songs, just think he's changed big style and not for the better. Last gig he did in Ireland in Belfast i was let down really too, it was the same show he did 5 years previous. Zero effort for a new show 5 years later. Won't go see him agin. Saying that he has not sorted dates for Ireland this time ! Cheers Bryan.
He was a big inspiration to me and my own music to be honest. I still enjoy his music, older stuff and most of his new stuff. I just think he has a bad way of putting himself across. Arrogant almost. My wife was looking forward to seeing him play live this year but for some reason he has skipped Ireland altogether ?. I'm not sorry though as i have seen him a few times and was let down by his last show in Belfast. It was the same performance he did 5 years previous. Zero change in the routine...not cool.
Dear Bryan, My wife Lynn & I would like to ask / suggest that you could possibly include / sing the old time Christian hymn titled "How Great Thou Art".
He isn't..don't judge him by one interview...he's one of the humblest and most amazing human beings you'll ever come across. Cocky may be, but a really nice guy.
