This breaks my heart. I fully understand you, as one of Disfellowship in 2006 for doing what I had to do to divorce a manipulative controlling JW Husband. It’s hard to see all the fake “brotherly love” when your still blindly devoted to the organization.

Patrick, I was so impressed by your courage and boldness in telling your story. Your story proves once again how very narrow minded and non understanding this organization is. It's not a so called loving organization as it proclaims to be. Nothing even close. Causing division and the break up of families is something directly against the family arrangement that God instituted in the first place. The GB teaches their elder body to be callus and cruel to everyone that misses the mark of perfection. Individuals are treated like trash and thrown out like they never knew you. There's no help, no encouragement, no rehabilitation, nothing. Its nothing but shame, guilt and judgment. Its interesting how this GB talks about FORGIVENESS, BUT THEY DON'T EVEN KNOW HOW TO DO THAT. Its very disgusting and despicable. The hypocrisy is so ridiculous that it sinister. You have definitely done the right thing by not going back to a very abusive, high controlling, narcissistic culture. I am glad that you have a relationship with your mother and you can now live your best life, fulfilling your dreams and aspirations. You will find another mate. You are a very attractive young man with a good head on your shoulders. The best way to prove this CULT wrong, is to become the biggest success in your life. Yes, I agree. Going to the elders was one of the most stressful times in my life 'confessing my sins', answering to them ,them watching, judging and being marked was so depressing. I tell everyone that asks me don't get involved with this mess.

I think Lloyd is one of the "full time" activists that we need right now. If we don't have people taking it that seriously, exposing the rhetoric of the JWs, then what is going to change? I see these activists as watchdogs, a type of role that many people do in government, business, etc. to ensure that powerful groups and individuals are not allowed to abuse others without comment or awareness outside of the situation. We need activists like Llyod and many others to take on this cult, to make a record of the secrets and lies of the JW leaders.

Especially if they are making money from it as well. I like Berenice Pickets he uses the Bible a lot as well.

She had used a couple loopholes in order to get out of the marriage. For one, she technically didn’t “divorce” me but rather filed for “legal separation.” She was able to do this because she had built up a case against me claiming that I was emotionally abusive to her after she would provoke me to lose my temper on occasion. I was never physical towards her but she still claimed that she feared for her safety and that I “might eventually” become physically abusive. She knew how to work the system and play the victim. Meanwhile, I was never able to refute the claims that were made against me so this video was very cathartic and glad it has helped so many.

I assume if no adultery, then she got her divorce on other grounds , but can't remarry, otherwise she would be disfellowshipped.

They are all trapped in the system! Assume that some elders in his judicial committee have watched porn or masturbate ( which is highly probable) what do you expect from them? breaking in tears and tell him “oh patrick, we relate to your sin, we did it also”?? or trying to minimise it, and raise the suspicion of the other elders? there is no way out for any of them. The problem is not their hypocrisy, and Patrick explained it very well, because he also accepted to be an elder even with his secret « sin », believing « in J s blessing ». The problem is the fundamental beliefs of christians hence of christian cults that sex is an undesirable useless aspect of a faithful spiritual man, and the complex rules system built upon. The recent problems in the exjw community shows that a lot of them are still trapped in a kind of religious system where people make sins, have to implore the pardon, perhaps need to be shamed or shunned, and go on judging others by a christian moral grid.
