I enjoyed the video. Yes I knew about these properties from exjw Rose. Gb is living large from jws and jws are donating and living POOR. But thanks to the youtubers like yourself the word is spreading, some jws are leaving fast but other are PIMOS leaving like snales, but with the exposure from yall the jws are seeing this NEW LIGHT! so now they can stop giving their money away to this cult. And I bet in my opinion the ppl on the bank access are all white and living the good life!

No it’s not. The house does still belong to watchtower, he just lives in it, I’m sure rent free. They probably took good care of him, not wanting to risk that he “spill the beans” or write a book like Ray Franz.
It is immoral. And they do not help JWs. Or anyone. These poor people pay dearly. There are no Ethics or Professionalism or Education involved. To have those, you must be part of the world. JWs are no part of the world, right? To advocate “no part of the world” and then for any JW to take advantage of the benefits of the world, is hypocritical.
Great video, as always. Thanks for taking the time to do all the research for us. The part being in need hits home for me. When I became a single mom, all I got was, "we'll pray for you." The very same people had the nerve to judge me when I got help from "worldly" people. This boils my blood when I think about what I went through with them. Lastly, please look into including Eric Wilson from Beroeans Pickett in the new documentary. He is an amazing human being. He is the reason why I started celebrating my kids' birthday. He shared a scripture with me that will always stick with me.

Fifth generation JW. Raised in it and excelled in it. Vacation Pioneer as a kid, Regular Pioneer for a time, Ministerial Servant up to Elder. Became Presiding Overseer, worked quick builds, relief work, talks at Assemblies....the whole bit. Never felt like I was good enough to deserve everlasting life myself, but figured if I could help others gain life, I could die happy when god kills me at Armageddon. Fifteen years ago, in my mid-fifties I was searching the internet for some old JW publications to add to my library. Accidently came across some information about the organization that I knew had to be false. Set about to disprove what I had discovered and to my shock, the deeper I dug the more obvious it became that everything I had been taught was a lie. My conscience wouldn't let me support such a wicked organization so I stopped going to meetings. A visit by elders to encourage me to come back and I felt obligated to share why I couldn't. I was never disfellowshipped but still shunned, including family members as well as my only child. The price I paid to follow my conscience was high, but I've never been happier in my life. In fact, I freely admit that I'm a much better, more loving person now than I ever was as a JW.
You yourself sell items to support the channel and yr lifestyle. Therefore what is wrong with the GB selling things they own to support the work that they do. Its prudent to look ahead and invest money coming in, in order to ensure that money does not dry up. I am a JW who believes what yr saying about the GB owning such properties, but I see no wrong in it.
Nothing about this channel is for making money. The items for sale are for spreading awareness and are priced as low as possible for double printing. There’s no profit. The EXJW recovery book can be downloaded for free. I don’t do this for money or to build a following. If it was about that, I’d be making videos A LOT more often. I have no issue with the Watchtower selling properties. I DO have an issue when those properties go against what they teach their members. They should be held to the same level of standards that they enforce for their publishers.
It is highly likely that any renovations done to these properties were by volunteer labor. They pulled the same shenanigan when they purchased and renovated the Stanley Theatre back in the 80's. Tens of thousands of free hours put in by brothers and sisters. I bet that property is worth a fortune right now!

For context I’m a raised in longtime exjw… I couldn’t help making 2 observations in your video. And with all due respect to your own thoughts, no criticism intended, just expressing myself. 1) At about 10:45 you speak of “tax collection”, or the like, in my opinion, it’s much more serious than that! I’m a little surprised that you don’t see it as something far more serious! The behavior of the gb and its hierarchy amounts to extortion backed by what amounts to a death sentence in some cases. Those are tactics of organized crime! I’m not a lawyer but I strongly suspect that this amounts to felony. Just saying. 2) About the protest in Washington DC this coming September, I’m of the opinion that the wt and all its iterations has committed crimes deserving of more than just paying fines (see above), and I’m wondering if there are exjw lawyers who would be willing, on a pro bono basis, to build up a claim against, jointly and severally, the whole lot of them for providing some financial indemnity to victims of various abuses PLUS indictments against the top brass (with the accent on “ass” 😂). Plus whatever else is possible, various class action suits… There’s sufficient evidence of them concealing/destroying evidence of CSA, amongst other egregious acts of perjury, etc. Protests alone don’t tend to accomplish much. I’m just saying.
I would love for a lawyer to look into the things the JWs are doing. A lot of their practices are unfortunately protected under religious freedom laws but there’s gotta be limits to that. It would be nice to have someone with a law background who can look into it.

One thing you do need to account for though, is that real estate in England is Absolutely Nuts. Like wayy more expensive than in the US. And 1M apartments in the US are not exactly rare, just go to LA, SF or NYNY and its pretty standard if not low.
Are you talking about the duplex that they bought for him right after his ejection? Because this story made me immediately think of that. They own multiple duplexes in the same neighborhood and have a contract stating the he and his wife can live their lives out there. It's nowhere near the headquarters! A $250,000 duplex. It's a bit of a jab, because Morris only gets one side of the building.

Also, I noticed that when WT first began, they used a lighthouse-looking “watchtower”, nice light at the top as if to guide your way. Then it became the ominous war tower with turrets and the high look-out point as through to keep in prisoners in a prison setting. Very strange.
