He got bullied when he was little but now has grown to be a wise and better man who can make a name for himself? I swear.. him and Superman are no different.
A modern day superhero. It takes a lot to really make an effort to understand or somewhat sympathize with bullies. He must have been incredibly hurt as a child being called out like that, but then to forgive them now, when he had absolutely no reason or need to... I think it truly shows how impressive of a person he is. One of the most humble actors in the business, a true, real-life Superman.

Jonathan Farley There is no such thing as a “bad” person. There are just people. If we were raised as these bullies were raised, shared their biology, went through their experiences, we’d be no different. We are all just people and we all have goodness inside us.

Prenatal conditions in the womb can affect our actions decades later, as can genes that are activated upon seemingly benign, but still, negative events that make us more violent and prone to aggression. There’s a whole interplay within nature and nurture that makes us who we are.

I am going to show this to my classes! He is absolutely correct in that kids say things just to push boundaries and see what they can get away with. But it is also very important to recognize that the person being “bullied” realizes that sometimes is best to let those things go. We give words the power that we want to give them and the perspective that we choose to see things is way more important for our own happiness than the actual words that were said.
