We need more Bakshi animation today

I find his animations really fascinating it speaks alot about how life was in the 70s even though i am gen z i can appreciate the art i dont care if its "offensive" or "raunchy" i see his art as a look into the 70s and thats what i think is really cool and i honesty see the interview as an inspiration It sucks how people assume the worst from the fritz the cat movie instead of looking deeper and seeing the bigger picture seeing how politics affected the era

I like how these big studios only care about money. The one that rejected Fritz lost 90 million on a low budget production. Really goes to show how any idea has potential

Correction; Fritz the Cat was the FIRST X rated animated FEATURE film, not the first "cartoon with sex" period. There are earlier dirty cartoons (some going back to the silent era) but they're all SHORTS. Try Eveready from 1920 for example.

5:48 That's sad. I have seen some 60s and 70s cartoons. Many of them weren't as funny or well animated compared to stuff from the 40s and 50s. Apparently even Disney was financially struggling. Eother people lost interest in animation or those 60s/70s disney films just weren't that good.

Ralph really was a s**t disturber.
