Enjoy the brand new interview with Brian Flynn from Super7 covering ThunderCats ULTIMATES!, ReAction figures, SilverHawks, SDCC and more. Preorder Wave 11 at collabs.shop/5kwonz #thundercats #silverhawks #super7
@@donnysboy1 I'm _quite_ sure they unfortunately won't be 2-packs. Just like with Snarf/Snarfer and the kittens, everything's solo released for $55. But Berbils are so much more simplistic, with super limited articulation; so it'd obviously make a lot more sense to do two 2-packs...like $75 a piece. I just super doubt that will happen.
Great job on the interview. It's always nice to get a little peek behind the curtain. Sounds like we still have plenty of Thundercats to look forward to!!! Still need my Silverhawks baddies; Hardware, Yesman, and Melodia and the Mirage in2025!!!
31:51 Did you notice that was the second time Flynn mentioned Safari Joe isn't in wave 11, and not adding in wave 12; so it's totally looking like they'll be in that wave. *REALLY looking forward to Ro-Bear Bill being announced tomorrow. Hopefully they'll be the first Berbil to come out.
He has talked about Demolisher in the past. I'm not good at predictions but I would love to see a new Berserker(Top Spinner or Cruncher), berbil 2 pack, Turmagar, and maybe Plutar or Molemaster. A cool special release would be Dr. Dometome and Herky. The main thing is just keep em coming!
I want to see retro Thundercats like Hasbro and Playmates have been doing lately with The Real Ghostbusters and TMNT, reissues of the classic figures and packaging from the 80s. Thundercats classics would be great to collect! Come full circle, the original figures are what collectors want, they are cheap to make, they have the vitage retro card packaging which is simple, it just makes sense and now you can go much more into the obscure characters that the originals lines might not have had. We could have got Castle Plundar, Mummras tomb fortress, these would be much smaller than the ultimates scale but still satisfy collectors.
I don't see this happening any time soon but I do miss the old 80s box and package art. It would be cool to see that collected in a coffee table Art of Thundercats book.
@@philstewart345 no but whoever has the license can allow one of the toy companies to make them. Warner bros own the Thundercats license I think so it's up to them who they choose.
Yay, more Thundercats next week!! Some kind of tease for Tiger sharks seems appropriate (desired), especially with 2025 fast approaching. Another great show bud
I just checked his interview with ToyAddict again and at 18:20 he starts talking about it and by 19min he says he is not in 11 or 12. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z8zT0-3BK-k.htmlsi=GoSdeGtSRwwgTHRO
Thanks for doing these Thundercats focused interviews with Brian. I love the TC Ultimates line. And Silverhawks. And Joes. I'm here for all my favs from back in the day properties as action figures in animation form! Next time remind Brian that there's even some of us down for Tigersharks, and if we can wish big . . . Thundarr the Barbarian main trio!
@@wewantmorethundercats I don't mean the toy version coming out by super 7 -- I mean make a new line exact scale and articulation, soft wings, look of the original 80s line..this would be great because the ones out are mostly very worn out by now ...
So it happen wave 11 was announced and I'm pretty satisfied luna and amok I'll be picking up I think the rest will insure a bright future. Moving forward WWMTCs there's some questions I'd like you to ask Brian next vid hopefully you can. 1. Out of the releases thus far which one sold more than you expected? 2. You hinted at another single character wave like Mandora, care to elaborate? 3. How many waves do you have planned out now? 4. How does the research go into finding new characters and turning figures? 5. Which obscured character do you still have on your mind you want to make? 6. Demolisher, pyron and a third form mummra not the giant size the really buff looking one with the demon face are these on your radar? Thanks WWMTCS and Brian
I would like to see super7 make some of the characters from the thundercats comics like lynxann and the two training portions lion-o had in the comic book thundercats return plus the one's in the Prison mine in the same book series 😀
21:48 What would've been nice is including a helmet accessory for Hachiman, then ditching the redundant sword (which I'm not sure why that was included). The best option would've been removable face/hair pieces (similar to what Figuarts and other import companies do), so we could have all the options. Like having them with the gritted teeth look holding the helmet, wearing the helmet with the stern expression, etc. I know that's a whole lot more engineering; so that's why I say if a headless helmet was included instead of the extra sword, it would've been great.
Concerning the Super Packs, as I'm not a hardcore collector buying full waves, I don't have access to them but I would be happy to be able to buy them separately.
Awesome interview guys, Egmond is a super cool guy, super stoked to know him 😁 so surprised at how approachable Brian is, very refreshing 👍🏼 seems like a hell of a nice guy. Any chance of super 7 making an airwolf or A-team line?
I've never had a problem getting any of my Thundercats in fact I have 2 or more of each but i always go to bbts but so many great properties out at the same time that i rather pay 1st and not have the headache of having to be ready when they start coming, can't wait for SDCC and the Cats lair to arrive 🎉 Thundercats Hooooo!!!!!!!
also, you got Brian was giving a major hint that Safari Joe IS looking like it will be in wave 12, right? You said "Safari Joe is confirmed for not being in wave 11 or 12" then Brian kind of wink wink said "I can confirm he won't be in wave 11" (IE he WILL be in 12)
Yeah I get why it sounds like he is in 12. Not sure if Brian didn’t hear me slip in 12 when I said it, but in his interview with ToyAddict26 he said he is in neither. Look at the 19min mark here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-z8zT0-3BK-k.htmlsi=OpCwUv2Xxfo0uvx- For clarity, that interview was filmed just 3 weeks ago so perhaps things changed because he DID say they had tweaked 12. Who knows if he is in it now, but 3 weeks ago he wasn’t.
Circling back to the removable Hachiman helmet thing, I think it could've worked. They have a pretty streamline head, so no wild hair or anything. I'm thinking about figures with removable helmets like Han Stormtrooper, Lando skiff guard, Leia as Boushh; and those all worked. The helmet would've had to be made of a pretty soft thin PVC, but I think it'd be feasible without looking off. But I certainly don't know since I'm just drawing conclusions based off other figures.
.... I still have a faint hope that Super 7 or someone (i.e., Ramen Toy) would make a "repair kit" for the Thundertank so that: 1) the trends will actually roll easily; and 2) the interior of the tank can be modified after the gun is taken out, like new seats for figures.
I understand what he's saying about Hachiman and the helmet but man I do miss that old LJN figure. It would have been cool to have had a second empty helmet just so he could carry it. Still it's a great figure--my favorite non-Thundarin of the line.
Do you think there will be any more chances to get in-demand early wave characters like Slithe for example? I just found out out about this line and he's like over $100 on ebay already, meanwhile they got the "reptilians" which are almost identical but tbh, I really just want the main characters, not trying to go crazy here.
Brian are you familiar with that final form mummra? That would indeed sell and no he doesnt have to be fifty feet tall theres a medium size version of him in multiple episodes hes basically looks like hes on the juice times 5 and a more demonic face.
For bonus items for pre-ordering waves from Super 7 direct . . . I'll drop my money on day one if instead of bonus heads and hands you can give a prop or something from the show. A candy fruit tree, a weapons stand, an artifact from the show etc. More hands and hands just get stored away with no use.
His height is all over the place in the toon, and some places he appears taller and leaner while others he does appear smaller. The inconsistency of the toon is unfortunate. Another thing perhaps is his stance that may make him seem taller when not crouched over. It’s a tough one to debate. But I think the middle ground is fine here when he is bending his knees. I do get the concerns tho!
