If he truly does not believe the part about church discipline over dirty dishes, why is his book Federal Husband still promoting this, still published without any revision, still being sold by his publishing company? Something doesn't add up here.

This was a solid interview, except for a few things: 1) The last answer Doug gave regarding remarriage. As long as your spouse is alive, youre bound by law. You can separate (not divorce, cause God hates divorce) for biblical reasons (e.g., adultery and unbelieving spouse leaves) but you can never remarry until the spouse has died. This would make more sense in the perspective of David, Uriah and Bathsheba. 2) Marriage isn't marriage until it's consummated? Sex isn't centered on sex but on the Christ committed leaving, cleaving and weaving of the two, which would involve sex (except in special cases). Sex is a privilege of marriage, not its foundation. The husband and the woman, do not become one merely by coitus.
