Dr Z seems like such a genuine guy. He has plenty of videos explaining the amp building process and seems eager to share information that can be hard to find. Class act!

I would love to see Chris Farley play Dr. Z in a mock interview.

17:53-18:16...what a humble statement. Dr Z is self deprecating with statements like that...because he makes so many incredible sounding models of amps that really give the player the goods...and the rest is up to them. I myself have to snag a Jetta from SW this year, but the demo Lance Keltner did for the Nova was sublime. Thanks for this interview!

What I love about Z, is how he follows the forums, and what people are saying and experiencing with his amps. He jumps right in on conversations, and often offers people advice and help on how to diagnose or fix any problems they might be having. How many other amp buyers, can get one on one personal help, from the OWNER of the company, that builds the amps. He's a very friendly, humble guy, and he builds some WORLD CLASS AMPS, that are the best quality, that you will EVER find ANYWHERE, at ANY PRICE. I've often told people who say, his amps are "Kinda Pricey" Oh really ? Go anywhere else and buy a completely, hand built, point to point wired amp, with THE BEST CABINETS, THE BEST CHASSIS, and THE HIGHEST QUALITY COMPONENTS, that you can buy anywhere, for the price his amps are. You'll spend TWICE AS MUCH. Just open one of his amps up and look a it. It is a WORK OF ART. They SCREAM QUALITY. They are going to last you A LIFETIME. There is NO BETTER BANG FOR YOU BUCK AMPS, out there.

I know it's been said before. But it would be great if he did an amp building class in Cleveland. He's definitely gifted at telling stories and conveying information.

I love Sir Mike "Dr. Z" Zaite and his amps. I live in the Philippines and I'm so fortunate and blessed to have one of his Maz 18 Jr. NR MkI 💞. I adore it very very much. I'm the 5th owner of it but it's still working perfectly, it looks solid and it's probably going to stay with me for the rest of my life. It gives me a lot of joy everytime i play this thing. Love these type of interviews. I heard one of his amps the other day and was impressed. The colorful and animated character of Dr Z was obviously inside that amp. I’m a classic / hard rock guy and that amp nailed it all. More of these type of behind the gear videos would be great. Can Dr Z drive over to the football stadium and install a new transformer in Baker Mayfields heart to get those browns up and running? Just sayin.

Great interview! Doc seems to be an amazing guy, and absolutely kind. I watch all the videos on dr z channel. Unfortunately, we don't have Dr Z dealer in France... Maybe one day, my dream is to have a Nova with a big throaty sound in my rig.

I also modified a Bogen PA head to make my first decent guitar amp. I loved the sound of those EL84s, and it was all just by chance. Another cool thing I built into the Bogen chassis was a 100watt potentiometer on the output (power attenuator).

The SRZ65 with Z Best cab was my all time favorite gigging rig. Not so much JCM to my ears, More original sounding …just so harmonically rich and satisfying.
