Jason is my favorite Sonic/Shadow voice Actor & my favorite sonic game was Unleashed & Black Knight & he's the reason why loved sonic so much & loved him as Shadow in Sonic 06. & my favorite performance by Jason was the last time he voiced Sonic was in Black Knight. I was happy that he came back voicing Shadow in Sonic & Tails R. & I also saw the bloopers of him voicing Sonic and he still got it. Look, I haven't been in the Sonic community for YEARS 10 years? but Jason's Sonic had a great impact in my teenage years, I'm talking when I was about 14-16 and I was bullied in high school ~ there was something so heart warming about going back home at 4pm and play Sonic unleashed, black knight, idk man.. you're amazing and even now..almost 10 years later he managed to make the fangirl deep down in me smile. Thanks for posting this interview, Emi. Jason left a mark on my childhood through reruns of Sonic X, which me and my father would eagerly watch every Satuday morning (when he was able). Hearing Jason voice Shadow again in Sonic and Tails R was a dream come true. I'm sure you hear this a lot, but that series was one of the biggest driving forces behind my rediscovery of the awesomeness of this franchise. Your music has also been instrumental in making the college grind much less painful, so again, thank you.

The first time I heard Jason Griffiths as both Sonic and Shadow was in the Sonic X series and he has been my favorite voice actor ever since and I really hope he will reprise his role as Shadow in the upcoming Sonic 3 movie 👍❤️

After watching the rest of this interview, I have to say that what Jason said about finding meaning in one's life was very moving. There are many times where my time spent on college, working towards covering motorsports tech as a journalist on RU-vid, feels pointless. But I now realize that is because I lost sight of the meaning behind it. My hope is that I can help others learn about topics I'm passionate about, and make a difference through pursuing and sharing that knowledge. Of all the places to find a new perspective and clarity, I did not expect it to come through my interest in Sonic the flipping Hedgehog.

I remember really being so hyped to be there, I was practically fan-girling when Jason was there and my question was picked. But now after a few years, coming back and relistening to this I was able to focus more on what he was saying instead my brain being like "SONIC" the whole time 😂. His words are truly motivational and this interview helped me get better insight on what to do with my life, being in college and everything now. So again, thank you! I needed this!

Jason Griffith did voice Sonic the Hedgehog from SEGA's Mascot Game Series and Cilan from Pokémon Black & White. I think he’s make a great voice actor for Catbat from Crash Team Rumble if the cat-bat hybrid is male of course.

Yes, nice archive of old Sonic stuff, Emi! 😀👍🏽 This is also in the same week when I made and updated my Loud House Cameo Compilation (recently, I got a Cameo video from Nika Futterman (the voice of Sticks the Badger in Sonic Boom, and is also the voice of Luna Loud and Boris in the series, back in March earlier this year). As Jason Griffith and Roger Craig Smith (Sonic's voice actors) is not present on Cameo, Colleen O'Saughnessey (the voice of Tails) is present there. Yes, Luna sounds very similar to Sticks, as they speak in a New York City accent, and they have the same voice actress (Nika Futterman).

This interview is so cool and interesting to listen to, I wasn't there back when this happened, but he said some neat life advice that I found insightful and helpful, especially near the end. Jason was one of my favourite Sonic voices growing up, he did amazing as Shadow in Sonic And Tails R. So BIG serious thank you to him. 👏🏼Also... "let me shut u up for that." or whatever that phrase was, is so funny. LOL. 😆

When my parents got me and my little brother a Playstation 2, the game that got us into Sonic was Sonic Riders. Jason's performance as the 3 characters during his run was phenomenal, but his performance as Jet was really memorable. The Babylon Rogues were so 🔥 and Jet as a rival had an interesting dynamic with Sonic. We eventually got Sonic Heroes, Shadow the Hedgehog, etc because of the experience. It made me laugh that he said Jet was his favorite to voice not just for his reasoning but because you can really feel the passion/effort he put into him especially being the first english voice.

I am both a Sonic fan and a Elvis fan.... THIS IS GREAT!
