Interview with Jiun Do, MD, PhD: Vision Restoration in Glaucoma 

Jiun Do, MD, PhD (Shiley Eye Institute, University of California, San Diego) discusses his vision restoration research and summarizes his talk at the 2023 Glaucoma Patient Summit in Long Beach, California. Dr. Jiun Do received a Shaffer Grant from Glaucoma Research Foundation in 2021 to fund his project "Optic Nerve Relays for the Restoration of Visual Function." In this video interview, Dr. Do talks about the importance of collaboration in vision research and the progress his laboratory has made so far in the quest to restore vision lost to glaucoma. While treatments are not yet available for patients, researchers are taking significant steps toward vision restoration.
