Perception moves in mysterious ways... Somewhere along the video I was thinking to myself: 'yeah, right... of course it sounds great... On a vintage ac30 or any given boutique amp with a bunch of crazy rack stuff, all mic'd with a royer 121, a metal can would sound great...' And then out of the blue - a vox pathfinder mic'd with a sm57. Go figure...
I love the way Kenny hammers the hell out of each note and chord! He's got a really heavy picking hand... none of this ergonomic picking nonsense with small precise movements :) Always refreshing to hear something like this when there are so many cookie-cutter clone guitar players out there.
I use this pedel with my harmonica amp & mic switched int,to low boost and dialed low,,it's perfect for solo inhancement or just more meat when things get loud,it's ts like adding a spk to your amp,,of course guitar and even keyboard do great with it,,got rid of the tube screamer,,just didn't use it any more,,though the T.Scrm is a great pedel..this guy does alot
What kind of delay(s) are you using? Especially with the Strat. And delay time(s). Do you typically use one (delay setting) most of the time? I know this is about the EP,and I'm already sold on it. Just curious about the delays/settings you were using with it. Thx -
When Kenny says "warmer", does he mean less treble or more bass? A combo of both? Would be awesome if Xotic could say exactly what frequenzies the EP boosts/cuts, but of course that's probably a secret :)
There is zero echo. The Echoplex had a preamp circuit that people liked. It does something to your tone that just *works*. That's what people were looking for when using one. Not the echo.
