Dear Ms Korva, I found you on NPR just today about price algorithms and I thought your voice is so calm and the words are intelligible. My client, who is an avid listener to NPR, recommended to me to listen and read the site's podcasts and articles. I've never been more informed and blessed. This interview is so timely. I've been reconsidering of changing my career after 10 years in my current industry. It's so scary out there, but I am ready. Thank you for your words of wisdom. Perennial. Take care. 😊 Edit: December 3, 2023

“Live from NPR News in Washington, I’m Korva Coleman”. “President Trump...”

You are wrong, she doesn't have a pause after her name before she begins with the news, she's more like this "LivefromNPRNewsinWashingtonI’mKorvaColemanPresidentTrumpdecidedthatthegovernmentshutdownwillbecontinue""

I enjoy her doing the news very much like others have stated she is so well spoken and while I like Lachsme Singh much I think Korva is just as good

ok this is the lady who speaks with no pause on my NPR news.... She gives me headache. I mean she's got nice voice, but the way she speaks make my head hurt. "LivefromNPRNewsinWashingtonI’mKorvaColemanPresidentTrumpdecidedthatthegovernmentshutdownwillbecontinue" shouldn't there be a pause after her name before she begins with the news? She does this most of the time, and every time I hear her voice I pray in the shower( i asked Amazon Alexa to play news flash for me while i shower in the morning) that she will add a pause after her name, and 3 out of 10 times I failed....

If you get headaches while listening to an exemplary news announcer, perhaps you need to see a neurologist.

@@monkeymeat2024 I do too. Do you realize that sound on RU-vid is different from sound on the radio? Radio stations apply compression to the audio signal before it's transmission. This results in an intentional reduction in the dynamic range of the audio signal. In other words, the low amplitude (quieter) sounds get an amplifying boost while the high amplitude (loud) sounds get an attenuating cut. The intended effect is to make the overall sound properly perceivable by the listener in most of the listening scenarios, ranging from a quiet home to a noisy train. This isn't done with internet sound. If you listen to NPR on the internet and she sounds different, I'd suggest better speakers.
