This interview was absolutely jaw dropping. There is some great info.. I could not have found a better person to interview. Trigger warning she details sexual assaults in detail.
Great interview Jeff. This interview shows how this can happen to anyone. Chris it may be tough, but you have to get sober. Your so worth it. Keep doing what your doing Jeff. Your bringing awareness, and education on this Chemical Warefare that's happening in Kensington 💯
She's so beautiful. Addiction doesn't discriminate it doesn't care who it destroys. My prayers to Chris 🙏 and everyone else who is struggling with addiction. 💕
She truly is, she's gorgeous and she has so much hope and promise in her eyes... She just needs someone to love her until she learns to love herself... If she reads this, I believe in you beautiful. Never give up.
Ms Kristy is so georgous and beautiful and does not look like a Fetanyl addict. She looks like she could be a model at 45. I cant believe that she use to be a nurse.
Xylazine is a strong vasoconstrictor on local blood vessels that decreases skin perfusion to the extremities leading to painful skin ulcers and abscesses that can eventually lead to amputation of affected areas. Xylazine is the main reason you see so many addicts sleeping on the ground or leaning over in various positions for hours on end. The combination of Fentanyl & Xylazine and their short-acting profile is what keeps many of the addicts bound to the area because they have to use it every few hours to avoid withdrawal. Unfortunately, there is no easy answer that will compel addicts to act in their own best interests and stop using, as you can see from this interview, addiction is an equal opportunity destroyer.
@@stuff1784 I wouldn’t know lol. Um, I think the sedative nature of the tranquilizer enhances the euphoric, sedative feel of heroin/fentanyl.... I think.
I had a Liver Transplant, about 4 1/2 years ago, all is well . And my doctors prescribed me Oxy's after surgery- I refused to take them, and told my Drs.& Transplant team take them back, when I got released, I left them with the nurse. I was numb around my incision, an everything went fine.
@@gloria57364 my dentist offered me pain relief after and I took them to get through that pain then that was it. I stopped and I didn't seek out more or some dealer
Thank you for doing that. You may have saved you and your family a WORLD of hell. I wish I had been that strong at 20 after my third surgery. Oxy then heroin then hell.
If she isn't at 100% with the VA, I'd be more than happy to help Kristy get there! All the best and hope she gets well (I served in the Corps myself during O.I.F)
This is what addiction looks like ….. don’t judge her from the vantage point of “normalcy” ….. I don’t care who you are NEVER say never …… and when they spoke of how bad withdrawal is believe it - every cell in your body hurts and you sweat puke and poop (hopefully not your pants!) please show compassion love and forgiveness 💜🙏
This is an awesome interview. I hope Kristy finds the strength to get out of the grips of addiction. Please do a follow-up of her, I learned a lot of new things, like the dual addiction to fentanyl/ xylazine and the difficulties she had to go through to getting treatment.
I’m really trying I’m nervous as fuck and I have a traumatic brain injury that messes with how I talk when I’m nervous. I’m trying tho. I will get there eventually
@@Jeffshighonlife I commend you on your ability to take comment criticism and use it as a tool to better your channel! Being able to take criticism shows strong sense of self, non inflated ego and the desire to improve. But don't get me started on Amber. LOL no comment. Good interview
Thank you very much. Listen I get the contempt towards her after so much fuckery. I just said I would give her a ride to detox and drop off toiletries once she’s inside the detox. That’s what I’m going to offer any of them that go that I’m involved with. But I’m not giving her any money at all. The constructive criticism sucks to read but necessary
@@Jeffshighonlife I apologize, I’ guess I’m use to all of soft white underbelly interviews . How can I get in contact with this young lady, I’d like to help her
She is sooo beautiful!! N she dont look like shes an addict at all! Shes so real too! God bless her! I hope she becomes clean n it all works out for her! I hope she gets clean!
People definitely don’t understand addiction will make you do things you could never imagine. Your mind set is so altered and sick, it’s very depressing and sad. I hope she gets better soon. Always Love NewJersey ❤🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻
I met Kristy when she lived on FL. My name is Erica. Everything she is saying is 100% and we used to ride to the clinic together. Omg, ive been wondering about how she was❤️
I dont think it is a good idea to have these women in your car. You are opening yourself to problems... also, you are placing your experiences and remembering and talking alot about your past...you are taking risks.
I appreciate the concern but these are genuinely good people going through a rough time. They don’t bring any drugs in the car and I don’t do anything illegal with them. I am really comfortable around this stuff it doesn’t bother me
This lady is stunning and I pray that she gets the will to get her life back on track. My comment was not towards any one special. Generalized statement
I really wish the methadone clinic was pushed more. There's a stigma regarding methadone but there is no way to deny that it's a live saver. Bottom line. It might not work quite as well on fentanyl and might not do anything for the tranq and stuff, but it WILL help and it WILL reduce harm. I remember being 18 and detox being like oh it's liquid handcuffs. Had I listened I would have had to go to detox many more times instead of getting clean the first, had I even made it there alive... People need to stop with the, oh it's a replacement. It's one that keeps these people alive while they get the therapy and treatment they need. Heroin doesn't do that.
I use kratom as well... the only issue is I can't get off of that either now because of mental/physical withdrawal. It's not nearly as bad and I can function on it but the psychological withdrawal especially for me is huge.
I just want to clarify something that very few people know. In Philadelphia, you cannot get into detox of you are actively suicidal. What I would do (as a healthcare worker) is either try to get you to admit that you are not truly suicidal or minimize it to the insurance company by saying it is passive suicidal ideation (as opposed to active SI) dependent on your current state or situation and will resolve if you get treatment for your addiction. Especially if you report no plan or current intent to follow through. The rumor on the street that you just have to claim SI to get into treatment is so rampant and used to drive me nuts. Kind of like the people that believe you can give yourself hep-c or that cops have to tell you they are cops if you ask them. Anyway, just wanted to clarify that... Good interview!!!! Please try and get it together before you do end up out here with the rest of us!!!
Like you said , definitely a great one and a great view for people. It shows no one’s better than anyone else and can end up in the spot. I hope she finds her way back and gets back to a wonderful life 🥺
This one made me truly grateful to be free from the shackles of heroin addiction. It reiterated the fact that what I’m doing is right. Thanks again for all your support. I appreciate it so much.
Love this woman. Very self aware. Able to grasp and articulate the 10,000 ft view regarding addiction. No lame excuses or rationalizations. Has perspective that will enable her to get clean once and for all some day. Best of luck Kristy!
Hi Jeff what a great interview she Chris put a reall prospective on the drugs and her life. Also Chris knows what she talking about. To Chris she knows her situation. I wish her luck and her boyfriend. I hope God will look out for them both. Steve from England Well done jeff
I’ve always found the statement Drugs Don’t Discriminate so odd. Of course they don’t since drugs are substances. IT’s people that discriminate against drugs and the people that don’t. Enough is enough. DARE isn’t doing it.
She has to get out the situation ASAP whilst she still got her looks and sane mind. Koz some of the addicts u almost know they to far gone. I think, hope and pray she gonna be one of the success stories
@@Jeffshighonlife yeah although they say it don't work its gotta be better than nothing. I'm fighting a 15 year addiction but last year or so I been doing around 200 quid a day on heroin and crack. I'm so weak and run down and run out of all my resources financially I'm bloody petrified of the withdrawal. I keep just about getting the money but know in next couple days I'm ruined. Wish me luck as I do with everyone else out there in the struggle!! Might not be watching for a while as I'm gonna be right in the shit but keep up the good work bro
I was on the Durodesic Fentanyl patches for about 5 year 'you would heat them up in a spoon drop a lil vinegar in the mix n it was the cleanest opiate shot iv ever had lol 'super hard now to get now heir in Sydney ( Australia didn't have the gel patch but it was just as easy to whack them.
@@Jeffshighonlife I'll be honest mate it wasn't no more dangerous than the heroin we had here on a street level in Sydney in the 90s from south East Asia, always sold in the purest rock form n sold by the Vietnamese and you wouldn't ever even buy it if it was broken up rocks n always dirt cheep, yes the 90s were Australia's l heroin epidemic but it was real heroin not wat U guys use , ppl were dropping on 20 bucks worth , go on RU-vid and look up once upon a Time in Cabramatta n U will understand a litl my friend
I grew up shooting heroin in Philly in the late 90s early 2000s. It was well know that north Philly had the absolute best heroin in America. It was the biggest open air heroin market in America. I had like 4 friends die within a month when we discovered the fentanyl patches that you can shoot 😂
@@Jeffshighonlife and it was the Mexican rubbish so i can just imagine how could the gear was in the rest of the country lol haha sorry but u guys only got about 10 or 25% of your heroin from south east asia n thats were the best heroin came from not mexico my friend as that was rubbish if u put it against china white n pink rocks or even yellow rock my friend trust me. haha only u if u new.
@@Jeffshighonlife Open air this n open air that lol Trust me there hasn't been anything in the world like cabra In sydney just watch once apone a time in Cabramatta my friend n u just mite understand a little bit wat it was like, why do u think we have legal medically supersized injecting centers lol 'bc there were to many ppl dyeing of the purest heroin australia had ever seen n on a street level too
Very very interesting interview, I have learned and understand so much more about the tranq addiction and effects, I am living in France and struggling with methadone since I am 17 years old, I am 33 now, this is my drug, we don't have the fentanyl or tranq here fortunaly, but I really want to understand more the effects of the withdrawal of tranq fentanyl versus methadone, and to understand why people don't do methadone as here in France, maybe it's harder to get it ?.Do they have to pay for methadone in USA ? Here is France we are so lucky for having a good free insurance who is taking care for paying all the treatment, I was two times on rehab (one in Serbia for trying an experimental treatment with ibogaine, but it was so expensive), and I am alone for taking care of my 13 years old son, I am doing my best to make as if I am normal, nobody can imagine that I am struggling with this horrible addiction of methadone (110mg/day) and Valium (5mg×5/day), I had fall into depression since 5 years now but still keeping hope for finding peace, restart my life, business, I am so lonely... I wish you the best and also to all the people in the world who are struggling with the addiction, it's so hard...
Hey thanks for the info about methadone over there. We have it here as well. You have to go to the clinic everyday to get it. The problem now is its not working on xxlyacine so nobody wants to start it. i had to come off of 180mg cold turkey when i went to prison. That was the worst experience of my life. I really hope you are able to come off it and live a good life. Its not going to be easy but i think you can do it. You also are going to have a difficult time with the benzos too. Just please make a plan with your docotr and follow it.. speak up if its not working right. Please keep in touch so i know how you are doing
Kris’ story hits me so hard as a Navy vet myself - I’ve seen her story before. I’ve lost a couple buddys that started with pain meds and ended it. Kris - I’m sincerely hoping things work out for you. I’m worried about you. Be safe out there.
@@Jeffshighonlife Thanks for being out there and sharing everyone’s story. Every story you share, including yours, brings us a deeper understanding of how important it is to see what’s going on out there. It’s desperation all around - what can I do? What can the system do? What can they do on the streets? Thank you Jeff - keep doin what your doing
Yeah I def agree 100% I just need to stop butting in as much like I did with her but I’m getting the. I do feel like conversation def opens people up more
What I like about this channel is that the interview is in the addicted's backyard, not a studio. It's raw, real life where the rubber meets the road. I hope the best for Kristy.
i hear there's a bad batch going around again on k&A today. ppl dropping fast. Medical service is pressed hard again. I kinda notice ppl go easy and show more empathy towards female addicts. Would it be possible to interview a couple of men in the future?
I am down here right now driving around. I really want to interview guys. I’ve approached a couple and they didn’t want to be in video. I’m going to try again today. That’s crazy about bad batch. Jus so scary
Addiction is not just a name is a hell of fight most people cant fight off, but seeking help and having power will as a life tool can help make changes i do not judge but i desire and pray for her to overcome the addiction shes a beautiful woman she has a future thats waiting for her 🙏
Definitely would love a follow up... hopefully she's taking steps to get sober but it sounds like she been through Alot of surgery and trauma 💔😣😢🙏 prayers everyone on the streets of Kensington are safe I don't understand how more ppl don't freeze to death especially the negative temps 😣
Very interesting. As an outside observer with no bias my only question is this, why should tax payers pay for all of this treatment when the majority of addicts go right back to the drug after treatment. Is the treatment not useful or is the drive for the drug too strong?
I understand where you are coming from I would just argue that it should it’s a public health issue and even if they aren’t ready to get clean safe housing should be provided. The solution to this problem isn’t hard to do or that. I think part of the reason I’m doing this is to show it to people that aren’t affected with addiction. If addiction is truly a disease we should treat it like we do cancer but I get that it’s not that black and white
Interesting, because I was put on Percocets after nasal surgery and took it for a few weeks, and it did feel good and helped me sleep and took the pain away, but then I ran out and had no choice but to stop. I didn't feel any withdrawal whatsoever. But, I could see how this could lead to addiction.
That’s good you recognized the potential for abuse with them cuz they do babe you feel good . Luckily your doctor was responsible one and got you it them in time.
Jeff, let her finish a sentence! Lots of thoughts unfinished. You don’t need to add your own experience with everything. You are a good interviewer overall. Thx!
I know. It was my second interview and I was so nervous. I’ve listen to the comments and tried to be more patient and not butt in. Hopefully you see that in the newer ones if it watch them. I appreciate your comment. I just started this so I need criticism
I am from Northeast PA (Scranton area) and in recovery for 14 years. Thank goodness because back in the day there was no fentanyl in the dope. She seems to me that she is maintaining. I remember that phase and it’s horrible but Chrissy please get help I know that feeling of not wanting to be sick but it’s so dangerous out there today. With the heroin being cut with all that shit. Back in the day it all started with the fentanyl patches the methadone and the Oxys and then you resorted to the dope because it was cheaper. It’s so scary out there today and your a beautiful smart educated woman. I know that you can do this. Please get help I am praying for you and your recovery.
Thank you for your service Chris. I served during the Vietnam conflict and I also have VA benefits. Avail yourself of help from your local VA. You're not too far gone yet. Still time to turn around. You served your country. Please let your country help you.
I understand the difficulty of getting clean, it gets harder every day.. when are you going to say, no more? You’re going to die for sure if you don’t. Your body is rotting from under you. Jesus will you if you get serious. He won’t do it for you, but he’ll help you come back. The devil is laughing at you as you rot your life away.
This may be the best interview I’ve ever seen so very clear and informative about what addiction really does and how it happened so insidiously 😢 Such a beautiful and intelligent lady you are Chris I wish you a good life out of those chains🙏Thank you both for an exceptional insight and interview much love from England❤🇬🇧🤗
Thank you so much for the kind words I really appreciate the support. The sad thing is with Chris her addiction is the only thing holding her back from being a really successful person
@@Jeffshighonlife Yes I know Jeff but what a complex situation without any miracle quick-cure!😔 Such a tragedy that more people aren’t educated on addiction as a complete syndrome not just a hankering & craving for a substance that can be cut out of life and forgotten like a bad dream🤯 if only it were that easy hey?😢🥺🙏
Horrible a.nurse no less! She should know better!! Lady wise up and help people instead of destroying urself. To me ur making every excuse to get clean and sober. Stop ruining ur life! Get clean and sober.Your out of ur mind! Stop get into God! Go get a job. Get educated. You do need help! Get ur head on straight. You know better! God bless you!
hey jeff i love her shes beautful. and very intelligent lady just goes to show all kinds of peps thos disease takes down wish her all the best God bless
Chris is obviously an intelligent & beautiful woman. I worked in the field a number of yrs. People might be surprised at how many are addicted to prescription meds. Many times they work 10-12+ hrs a shift. It's a hard job physically & mentally. I pray she can get & stay clean. She has a lot to offer & can do anything she puts her mind to. ❤🙏❤
If you aren’t honest with your addiction you will never get past it. It’s easy for us to recognize our destructive behaviors it’s just rent really hard to stop them
i really like your interviews the most out of every other one i've seen. you actually have conversations with these people, you seem to give a shit & i respect that immensely. she is so beautiful, i hope she gets her life back. she deserves it & much more.
I really appreciate the great feedback. I like to be very open minded and nonjudgmental to them at all. It seems they respond well to it and open up during the convo. Thanks for watching my videos
@@Jeffshighonlife Hopefully she finds the support she needs, As that's the biggest key to making changes. Once a person changes their circle of friends it increases their chance of beating addictions that control your life. As it's hard to stop eating pizza if you live in a pizza shop
I still haven’t talked to people I used to get high with and that was 6 years ago because there’s no reason for me to talk to them anymore. there’s a saying that goes you are the company that you keep. I really believe that You need to change everything
I live in a sml town in Oklahoma. I'm being terrorized by a group of people who sell and do meth/ fent. The community and law enforcement know all of them. And, nothing is being done to help me. My home is being broke into my belongings stolen, my car, my mower, tools and I'm under constant threat. I've reached out and begged help from preachers and so called Christians. It's a horrible life.
Because when they get it in their vein your blood is boiled at like 99.4 and it usually disintegrates the most bacteria most foreign objects some that end up with really bad infections it's because they have really bad things floating around in their blood but be careful I admire what you're doing but I work in the medical field and just off of being from Philadelphia I think that it has something to do with a parasite or a Mite in the drugs because that would mean when they miss there's something actually eating away at the flesh that would make more sense... just a thought..?
@@Jeffshighonlife that would be wonderful I've been attempting myself and I get ran between two different doctors either dermatologist or pretty much what they call Bug doctor LOL but whatever you find out please share!
