Gold’s phenomenal output as a composer began close to
twenty years ago and he has stacked up five BAFTA
nominations (two for Doctor Who) plus three Royal Television
Society nominations and a win for Queer As Folk. In 2013
Murray Gold celebrated one his greatest musical
accomplishments with a third Doctor Who Prom at the Royal
Albert Hall.

I have no idea why some people complain about Murray Gold's brilliant work. The Series 6 soundtrack is fantastic, and my CD of Series 8's OST is on the way. His music is better than the episodes themselves, most of the time. He's an astounding talent, and will be greatly missed.

I am such a huge fan of this man. I wish there was a way to contact him, to let him know how amazing the music from Doctor Who has been since the series returned. Bravo Murray Gold!

When Segun is leaving Dr Who, there are speculations when Murray may return to Dr Who music or perhaps outsource a Japanese veteran tokusatsu composer Toru Fuyuki from Tsuburaya Productions who made music for Ultraman series.

'so much music' - the first question says it all, Gold's music constantly pounding and driving through the series year after year, overwrought and overused by producers in an attempt to emotionally bully audiences in lieu of good writing. Just hate it. Was it my imagination or did Gold recently (massively) plagiarise Arvo Part's 'Spiegel im Spiegel' for Capaldi's finale?
