A Paul Washer sermon got me to examine myself with the scriptures. Long-story-short I had realized I was deceiving myself. I don’t believe I was saved. If I was that’s great; at seven years old Jesus saved me. At 19 years old my life was changed. I understood the true gospel through a sermon Paul Washer preached. Praise God for faithful preachers. Faithful to God. Faithful to scripture. Praise God I know I am saved and believe the true gospel!

That passage in Corinthians has nothing to do with salvation. Washer doesn't bother to start (at least) in the beginning of the chapter. Paul told the Corinthians that if he was an illegitimate apostle and spiritual father, then they were illegitimate children. "Since you seek the proof of Christ speaking through me...yourselves examine.... Then he adds, "And I trust you will see we are not illegitimate." There's a parenthetical element in the passages. Greeks did not use punctuation, but they certainly added parenthetical elements. Yes, Paul uses metaphors of human reproduction too.

My favorite preacher because he is so honest and passionate. He’s not looking to win a medal from the people or views. He’s going to tell you the truth and you’re going to convert or be convicted in the end, but you’re getting the truth no matter what. I just can’t even begin to explain the way he opened my eyes. God sends the true elect to his videos and they begin to understand what others lie to them about. He’s part of the reason I read the scripture several hours a day and pray at least an hour. God used him to show me these steps to take I mean.
I agree.it's not him, but Christ in him. He would probably rebuke us for saying it's him. We can say he's the vessel God used to get our attention and even then it was Christ in him....remain blessed

5-Point Calvinism states that man is so totally depraved that he is unable to choose God or even want to! If you take a 1000 people and asked them to make a choice with these questions. Would you like to go to heaven and be with a loving God? or Would you like to go to Hell and be with a hate filled Devil? 1000 hands would go up and say Heaven!!! What totally depraved man choosing Heaven over Hell? Image that! Even a child has the sense to see that. Matthew 7:8-11 It really bothers me when people call Calvinists our brothers in Christ when they teach Heresy, deny salvation, slander the work of the Cross for all men and teach another gospel, a Doctrine of Demons. Tell me that Mormons and Jehovah witnesses are brothers in Christ? They are less severe than a rabid Calvinist! The Calvinist system is more closely linked to Islam and their hateful, cruel, indifferent god! The truth shall set you free. Listening to Paul Washer is always getting the truth, praise God. Having ears to hear is God's mercy and grace bestowed on those He chooses to heal, Praise God.
Loved the scripture from Ezekiel he read, and the look on his face when he did. I also enjoyed his breakdown on social justice and where it came from. But most prominently, I too agree that we should never fear skinny legged old men. LOL!
So informative and true. So many believers only want Christ but it is becoming more and more difficult to find churches who preach Christ rather than entertain the congregation. Praying that I am able to find a true church and that by God's grace I am able to fellowship with true believers. I am starting to feel quite lonely.
God bless Paul Washer. We can have great assurance in our theology because if reformed theology was not correct, Paul Washer would be believing and preaching something else. He has said that there are “no great men of God,” but I hope he would accept that he is a true Saint whose walk should be an inspiration to others. May the Lord bless and keep you, Brother Paul.

Wow. Been listening to Washer for 12 years and here is the first time Ive heard him spew calvinistic heresy. No, we dont get born again before we repent and believe. Theres no bible for that, and theres no logic in that. Augustine and Calvin had a unique gift for making very wise people believe very foolish things.
hmmm... a person becomes curious, enquires or call out for help, investigates, discuss, believes then repents then baptised to emerge a new creature. To me, born again is when one emerges from the water of baptism. Is conviction = believes?
Paul Washer is a straight forward, gospel preaching evangelist. There is not an easy-believism bone in his body. However, he equates God's sovereignty with TULIP (often referred to as the doctrines of grace), and the ordo salutus. In other words, he dissects God's salvation into as many working parts as possible, then reassembles them using a series of man-made systems that do not match the teaching of Holy Scripture. I believe in the 5 solas and the sovereignty of Almighty God. He is saying that because God is sovereign, he cannot do so and so, and he must do such and such. No! Because he is sovereign, he can do and does as he wills. He is no less sovereign if he chooses to grant humanity a will to choose or reject him than if he makes them respond to his wooing. The implication that one does not believe in the absolute sovereignty of God unless one places God in the same Calvinistic box he does says that he thinks he knows more about God than most believers in the world today. One does not have to strain at all these gnats to avoid swallowing the camel. You do not have to believe all the gnats of Calvinism to avoid preaching a cheap grace. Further, the Calvinists have 5 doctrines of grace, the Wesleyans have 3. I believe there is one doctrine of grace and it is the divine characteristic of God that provides every good and necessary benefit for his creation. It manifests itself in countless ways but it always comes back the character of God.

Jesus Christ died for our sins. Now sin has no power over us. God gave us the gift of righteousness the time we believed and received Christ Jesus. In Christ Jesus we have eternal life. In Christ Jesus those who truly believe and receive Him genuinely, have the gift of righteousness. The gift of righteousness is an eternal gift. Once you receive the gift you are eternally righteous. Christ is made unto us righteousness, wisdom, sanctification, holiness. Now without Christ we are nothing but with Christ we have everything.
Paul Washer teaches in his Calvinism that God is sovereign over all things even sin. “The devil, and the whole train of the ungodly, are in all directions, held in by the hand of God as with a bridle, so that they can neither conceive any mischief, nor plan what they have conceived, nor how muchsoever they may have planned, move a single finger to perpetrate, unless in so far as he permits, nay unless in so far as he commands, that they are not only bound by his fetters but are even forced to do him service” (John Calvin, Institutes of Christian Religion, Book 1, Chapter 17, Paragraph 11) Then how do you repent for sin if God ultimately made you do it? How do you repent for NOT doing that which you were NOT permitted to NOT do? You have God making you sin, and later you have God repenting of the sins he made you do to himself. If the Calvinists are right we don't need prisons. After all God forced the criminal to commit the crime. A monster in disguise can always be exposed by looking at their lives. Especially if they publish books! Hitler should have been seen by sane people because he published his intentions in a book. "Mein Kampf" He spelled out his demonic plan against the Jews and yet gathered a huge following! How could that be? John Calvin should have been seen by sane people because he published his intentions in a book. "Christian Institutes" He spelled out his Doctrine of Demons against the souls of mankind yet he has a bigger following than Hitler over his 500 years of tyranny. Hitler destroyed six million physical lives! Calvin has shipwrecked the faith of billions! Its mass "TOTAL DENIAL"? "TOTAL ABSURDITY" Truth in Love
"I am going to do everything," (9:29). Paul says he believes this, and yet also believes people suffer forever for sin. Think about it folks, both beliefs can't be true! If God does everything (which is true) then no one suffers forever. Now, that's good news!! 😊😊

if you say faith is a gift from God, then those who have not come to that faith ( according to John 3:16) have not received the gift yet and it would be easy to say that salvation is solely dependent on God's choice to grant that gift not on the individual to choose to believe in Christ?
If faith is a God's gift, would you say those who will perish will perish because God has decided them to? otherwise, how can you justify the two? according to the scriptures, salvation is based on faith alone. does God choose who to be saved? how do you know God has given you that gift and it is not based on your decision?
I love Paul and about 99% of his preaching. And yes, I know he holds to RT. To the question "Is Faith A Gift", Paul says he answers it with a question. So I would like to answer his question with a question. Is God big enough and powerful enough to cut thru the mind of a radically, pervasively, totally-depraved Man in order for the man to comprehend the conviction of the Holy Spirit (Jn. 16:8) when God draws them (Jn. 6:44) so that they cry out in surrender for mercy and therefore exercise the trust that God will keep His promises? Because, if so, then your whole supposition and RT falls apart. And the Bible I read shows SEVERAL examples of those radically, pervasively, totally-depraved people crying out to Jesus for mercy and others crying out "What must I do to be saved?" And that is why Paul's Ordo Salutis is wrong. Regeneration is the act of being Born Again by very definition. And Eph. 2:8-9 tells us clearly and plainly that Faith precedes the Grace by which Salvation comes. I agree with what Paul says wrt CRT/IS but I'm curious to know if he, like SO many other Calvinists, would say the same about those of us who do not hold to RT and that Faith is NOT a "gift"? Is that too a different gospel and are we then too anathema, Paul?

I am confused with his comments on scripture alone. He said that belief came from the enemies of Christianity. I thought the reformed theology Christians do believe in sola scriptura.
Pastor Paul, isn’t that all that believed in the Lord Jesus have the new covenant. Christians are now under the new covenant, under God’s Grace? Pastor Paul are you still preaching under the old covenant, under the law? In Romans Paul the apostle preach this good news in Romans 6-8, and compare the Law and Grace in Romans 1-5
REMEMBER the only way to repent and be saved by Christ acts 11:14-18, Luke 11:9-13 , Zeph 3:9/ Acts 2:4 and Heb 12:23 Just follow only the original gospel tradition teaching not different churches but Jesus will guide and teach you to the end. John 10:1-6, 11-16, Acts 4:12 and 1 John 2:24-25!

Regeneration precede repentance and faith ??? There is no word Sovereign in the Book of the Lord English preservation that the Levites had that was copied by a king - Deuteronomy 17:18 The LORD JESUS CHRIST creator of all things (Ephesians 3:9) has all power in heaven and earth. - Matthew 28:18 A monarch (Sovereign) doesn't have that power. He's quoting James 2. Faith without works is dead (faith). True, redeeming faith is then followed by sanctification and good works. He's pointing out that if you are doing nothing with your salvation, just claiming it and living like a non believer, then you are no Christian at all.

Washer constantly preaches the need for us to look at our "fruit" for evidence of our salvation, a measure so vague it gives him no peace. If Penal Substitutionary Atonement is true, it is never preached of as the meaning Christ's death and resurrection. As much as I love and respect Paul Washer, there is no biblical basis for this teaching. We are not born-again (regenerated) first and then exercise our new found faith unto salvation. This ‘reformed’ teaching may be consistent with the Calvinistic TULIP, but it’s a complete misrepresentation of the character of God. May the Lord open up his eyes and his heart to this abhorrent deception.
