George Muller leaving for the foreign mission field at age 70 for 17 years is incredible. Especially since he was the leader of the orphan ministry in Bristol for years before this. Brother Muller loved the Word of God and depended on God to supply his every need.

Dear sir, I really don't know you very well every now and then.I heard your messages. I would encourage you to look up. Let joy come upon you. I understand I myself walk in a very spirit of heaviness and somberness and I get it. There are callings on our lives, but we also must be filled with joy. Lots of joy. Ask the Holy Spirit to free you from some of this. That is only of the heaviness for God to bear. He bears our burdens. He carries them, not as God bless you.😊

The topic was so on point for me, today i was reading and meditating 2 cor 11 and 12 and i was praying to become more weaker.

God knows what is needed before we ask for it. He answers a faithful prayer and does it in such a way that we can only attribute it to Hus supernatural providence. I rejoice in my weakness for the Lord's strength achieves exponentially more than I could ever achieve for His glory.

As to the other means of grace, I would say, I fell into the snare into which so many young believers fall, the reading of religious books in preference to the Scriptures. I read tracts, missionary papers, sermons, and biographies of godly persons. I never had been at any time of my life in the habit of reading the Holy Scriptures. When under fifteen years of age, I occasionally read a little of them at school; afterwards God's precious book was entirely laid aside, so that I never read one single chapter of it till it pleased God to begin a work of grace in my heart. Now the scriptural way of reasoning would have been: God himself has consented to be an author, and I am ignorant about that precious book, which his Holy Spirit has caused to be written through the instrumentality of his servants, and it contains that which I ought to know, the knowledge of which will lead me to true happiness; therefore I ought to read again and again this most precious book of books, most earnestly, most prayerfully, and with much meditation; and in this practice I ought to continue all the days of my life. But instead of acting thus, my difficulty in understanding it, and the little enjoyment I had in it, made me careless of reading it; and thus, like many believers, I practically preferred, for the first four years of my divine life, the works of uninspired men to the oracles of the living God. Muller wasn't a cessationist 8:10 38k answered prayers not 3k 9:01 pray specifically but if God doesn't communicate or speak or act bc He has ceased then why pray specifically? Especially if everything is predetermined ahead of time and you have no free will to be able to act to change anything.

To me is Paul washer, God used him in my life, in understand more gospel and scripture.
