Ask yourself this. Have you arrived at a more intelligent and rational understanding of the scriptures then the men who preach what Calvin preached?

Regeneration must proceed faith, because it is all the work of God that "no one should boast". Ephesians 2:9. Even our faith to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ is a gift of God.

We are dead in sin....a person who is spiritually dead can not respond.

Christ says no one can come to me unless the Father draws him. In man's total depravity he cannot seek God nor have any faith to come to the light unless the Holy Spirit regenerates him and is given faith. Repentance is from God's grace as well.

It's also correct to say that regeneration is simultaneously corresponding with faith, but it's more helpful to communicate it as faith being preceded by regeneration because it's meant to communicate that an unregenerate heart cannot choose to believe in Jesus. God's calling is not only an offer, but effectual in that it is not merely a possible thing that He's offering, but it is an action that causes an effect.

How can faith precede regeneration? Without the Holy Spirit intervening nobody would believe.

We have no idea, little Johnny, if God has predestined you to be forever damned or forever saved. We love you, little Johnny, but we accept the fact that God might not love you, and that He may have plans to send you to hell for your future sins. If you do find yourself one day burning in hell because He hasn’t elected to save you, just remember that we will always love you, even if God hates you. Funny how a system that gets you to hell talks about what it's like! Calvinists believe god created all things, and controls all things, predetermined all things, and made all things exactly the way they are.... thus god also created evil. therefore since calvinists believe god created evil. they are blaspheming against the holy spirit ... the only unforgivable sin. calvinists also believe the only people who will be saved have been predetermined by god. and since calvinists believe god predetermined who will be saved ... they have removed free will - the gift of god to humans, and removed jesus from the equation. since god (according to calvinists) has already determined who will be saved ... (and who will not be saved) ... those who will be saved do not need christ and those who will not be saved cannot come to christ. thus calvinists are not christians. Can a person be saved trusting in something other than Christ Jesus? NO! They are trusting in the hope of election not Christ! Is it possible to be in a reformed church and be saved. Yes but that is in spite of the heresy. They must have put their faith in Christ separately from what is taught. Just like those in the Catholic Cult. There could be baby christians that have no clue what they are sitting under. If they wake up and listen to the Holy Spirit they would run out of the Hive screaming! Calvinism is NOT just another Christian denomination. It is a Cult. A doctrine of demons. Strangely how those in it, defend it to their deaths. That is how Satan, not God blinds them to the truth. @@truth7416 little Johnny, you still have no idea what you’re talking about. Calvinistic churches teach to trust in Christ and Christ alone by faith alone. Second, who says God predestined a minority of people? This is a made up statistic. If you believe and trust in Christ for your salvation, you’re obviously elect, since you can’t come to Christ unless first drawn by the Father, and He will raise that same person up on the last day. Billions believe in Christ alone by faith alone. Moreover, Christ said many are called, but few are chosen, and few are there that find eternal life on the narrow road. Few still means billions. Try again little Johnny.

@@truth7416 Calvin wasn’t the founder of TULIP. That didn’t come until over 100 years after Calvin. Calvin didn’t even write that much about predestination and election. He mainly wrote on the book of Job. Luther and Augustine wrote WAY more on election and predestination than Calvin did. You clearly have no idea what you’re talking about. Brush up on your church history, little Johnny.

Man is dead in his trespasses and sin. Ephesians 2. Unless a man is born from above he will not see the kingdom of heaven, John 3. A dead man can not repent. A man must be born from above to repent. Dead men can not repent. Romans1:-Romans2:4. will help with understanding, carts and horses and such colloquialism.

True ,their is a verse in the Old Testament though that says “the dead speak by faith”think bout that,idk if anyone’s ever realized this but the spiritually dead can speak,although dead ,by faith,,plus Gods given to EVERY man a measure of faith and I don’t think that’s only speaking to the elect ,the elect are only Jews anyway and people have stuck gentiles in there with em😰

@@rockylosco5596 Wrong, the elect are the believers in Christ. And Paul spoke about election. Christ said no man can come to me unless the Father draws him. Paul spoke of many doctrines.

Mike Duke I always struggled with the issue so really all I can do is pick one and hope it’s right because both sides say the same thing and both can be proven from scripture,not saying ur wrong I just don’t know and I been saved 19 years now lol

All I can say is if ur saved prior to repentance then except a man repent he will perish doesn’t mean exactly what it says and I know for a fact God means what he says,it depends on how u look at election or the application of that grace to a persons life,I was always taught that u take the measure of faith that Gods given to every man and u simply trust in grace to save you then the moment you believe”which is not a work of course” the moment u believe God quickens u by his spirit,by grace you are saved THROUGH FAITH and that not of yourselves it is the gift of God, u must use faith to be born again but it’s NOT the faith that saves you it’s the grace , see what I’m saying,free will and Calvinism apply grace in two different ways to a persons life and apparently God has used it both ways with repentance being proof of salvation whether before or after being saved,,Arminianism and Calvinism are the two greatest dividers amongst believers ,it’s interesting how Jesus prayed that his children would dwell together in unity I wonder if he had this exact issue in mind?
