I started out at Roger's Main Line Nautilus in the late 70s!! To this day and unequivocally, Roger was the most brilliant person I've ever met in the fitness industry. The principles and techniques that he taught back then, are still the finest training advice that I've come across in my 40 years of training. Roger was not only a purist, but he trained as hard as anyone I've ever seen. He walked the walk. So many great memories of those days. I remember when Casey Viator came to give a full day seminar somewhere around 1980. At 226 lbs, he was absolutely massive. But I have to say the one memory that sticks with me the most, took place right after the 1980 Mr Olympia. Back then, you had to wait a long time to find out who won cuz in many cases you literally had to wait for a publication to come out. But because Roger was a head judge of the Olympia (although he didn't judge in 1980 cuz he recused himself), we got the skinny right away. I remember him saying you're not going to believe who won. I went through the list like Mentzer? Coe? Etc, etc.... he kept saying no, no, no. Finally when he said Arnold Schwarzenegger, I thought he was totally messing with us, but his face got real serious... I remember it like it was yesterday😁
@@JoeSmith-sj4uz yeah I think he uses X-Force equipment, which I have not tried yet. His place in Bryn Mawr was sold to the sporting club of the main line. It's downsized from what it once was. If you're looking to train with Roger, I honestly believe he's one of the most knowledgeable people in the entire world. Best of luck 👍
Same here I started serious training in 1978 at Main Line Nautilus with Roger. His workouts he put me through were the most intense and started my entry into bodybuilding.
@Old Skool Bodybuilding Routines The people who knew him tell a different story. According to them he was a kind man who wasn't that interested in money in comparison to his interest in people. Everyone can get injured, fall out of their training routine and become depressed, doesn't mean they dont have valid wisdom. You love your fallacies dont you?
Man there is a massive troll on your channel. Some old school bodybuilding guy who is ignorate of everything high intensity and has a huge hatred for everything HIT, Mentzer and Arthur Jones.
Each machine cost between the X-Force Nautilus equipment 11 to $15,000 what a joke! Know if you use free weights that's the way to go! More simpler less money!
