Truly a penetrating and absorbing interview. I was absolutely consumed and engrossed by the content and the responses from Stavros. I must say, he is most impressive. I can't wait for part two.
I have been intrigued by this company since I first heard it. Clearly something special happening. Hearing the designer's insights rings true. A lot of knowledge and a lot of funding came together to create make this possible. This is the real deal for the mega$ system.
I spoke to this us worldwide distributor a few weeks ago about preamp status and they couldn't promise a delivery date and said they were backlogged. And he reminded me about all the very very rich people who buy the stuff. Not sure I would buy due to unknowns, Limited sales in the US and the power switch being in the back. He solved the Power problem for me by telling me to leave it on all the time, which was kind of unacceptable as I like to help the planet also I don't like changing out tubes all the time due to it being on all the time.
Right now... Many of the desirable gear is backlogged. I'm waiting a year for my Stax sr9000. I know it's frustrating, but some gear is worth the wait and there's a reason they are backlogged. Once the wait is over, you'll likely feel much better about having the best piece versus a second option. I don't think a preamp draws more than a night light at idle, but I understand the concern about tube life.

There u go , if active crossover or DSP was good for anything above 300 hz he would do it . I have yet to see active fully active speaker with DSP time delay that sounds organic
@@AudiophileJunkie at axpona most of the speakers I liked did not have dsp applied to midrange and above , it’s tricky to do , did not like YG acoustic active speaker .
