In this video, I have a chat with Suzette Mullen who is also a late life lesbian and author of "The Only Way Out is Through". This is her memoir of her own realization of her sexuality later in life and coming out after being married to a man for 30 years and having 2 grown sons. Suzette also now helps other LGBTQIA+ writers who are seeking guidance to write their stories and become published authors. You can learn more at yourstoryfinder.com
Connect with Suzette on Instagram @urstoryfinder
Order "The Only Way Through is Out" on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, Bookshop.org, or go to your local bookstore and ask for them to order it for you!

This is a very remarkable and honest book and is worth reading. We get to know Suzette and all of her family and friends and their reaction to her "coming out" And her struggle to come to terms with her situation, which is a victory for her in the end. Michael R

I only hope all people live their true selves no matter what. I came out at around 5 when I crushed out on a 13 year old girl so while this is not my path I do know one thing for sure: WOMEN ROCK. 💕💜💕💜

@@zanellenokuphila4640 awwwww it is definitely such a hard journey and women really struggle with a lot of inner turmoil when going through this. If she would ever like to talk, I do offer free zoom consultations. There's a calendar to book on my website thelatelifelesbian.com if you think that would be helpful for her ❤️

I related to so much of the stories shared here! Thank you for being so open! You're right about community. Need to find other late bloomers in my area to connect with. It's one thing to get to know lesbians who've been out their whole lives, it's another to connect with someone who knows what it's like to leave a hetero marriage! And all the baggage that goes with it.

Im 56. This sounds like me. I always in my mind being with women. Where i was 16 years old was with my daughters father for 28years not married by my choice. I just didn't feel right with men. When my daughter come end graduation year i was more changing. With men there is always loneliness with them frustrating shit. Then when i was first woman at 38 sexually it change more sexuality with me wanting more female.But i have enough women who hide their little secret that love women but dont want their families to know.I find it hard to get women after u ben with men.I ben fighting my mind of desires women. Well said ladies

So if when you think about your hetero marriage and life, your ‘inner voice’ says, “I want this”, and then when you think about being in a relationship with a woman, your ‘inner voice’ says, “I want that”, what do you do?
@TheLateLifeLesbian
@TheLateLifeLesbian Месяц назад
I think you have to figure out WHY you want both. Do you want your hetero life because it's truly who you are and what you want or because it's safe and comfortable and you're afraid of blowing up everyone's lives? Do you want to come out and be with a woman because it's who you truly are?

At about the 44 minute mark there was the discussion about hetero sex. For me that is all it was, sex. I have never made love with anyone. I will probably never come out because of my children and grandkids. Yes I am later in life, 63. I am divorced, but not due to being a lesbian. My ex is a lifelong pedophile. I didn't find out until he was 50 yrs old.

Only way out is to know Jesus as your Savior, Otherwise you're going to stay with Satan and will face the wrath of God. We determine if we will be God's child or Satan's?
