Coming from a prosperous background, Manley was a democratic socialist. He is considered one of Jamaica's best Prime Ministers since independence, according to public opinion polls.

His understanding and grasp of the geopolitical situation of the world, and how it affects Jamaica and the third world is astounding. He was an intellectual giant. Its sad that he was so misunderstood and vilified by those who have had the best of Jamaica but didn't want to help to create a more egalitarian society. History will absolve him.Rest in power Joshua.

The middle class didn't want the masses to prosper because they were afraid to lose their power and control...how dare him (one of them) advocate for the masses. He had to be stopped! I recall the upper classes fleeing to Europe and the US with their wealth rather than helping to build Manley's vision for the economy. He was also punished by the US for his affiliation with Castro.

Greatest Jamaican Prime Minister. The concept of realism will never pull clouds over the truth. Jamaica has so much potential. It needs the Caribbean community to be more involved this in themselves becoming self reliant. It is also a fact that politics have become forums for proganda to push the objectives of the individuals involved but not for the people or and the islands future. When we realize that and select our leaders differently then we will have a greater scope to grow as a nation on a global scale in all facets.

Michael Manley is the greatest pm of Jamaica of all times, you cannot compared anyone else with him at all. I remembered 1972 when he won the election and, from there on he started to revolutionized. The development of Jamaica, he has opened the eyes of the majority of Jamaican poor people them. Because the majority of people in Jamaica was very poor,I fall into that category too and is. When Manley opened the doors for the people in the surrounding communities them, that the Bauxite companies industries them. Should given the people them the 1st preference to get the jobs, and they brought a testing system. That is how I got a job with the Bauxite company, in order to get myself out of poverty. Also Building training centers across Jamaica, for the less fortunate children. Who didn't do well in schools. Also the youth services for school leavers, where you can do 2 years into whatever fields you likes and still getting pay from the government and. At the end of your 2 years, you can go to college and continues in the same fields and. You can go and on with programs, what Michael Manley did for the majority of people in Jamaica and. One of the greatest projects that he was implemented in Jamaica, was the National Housing Trust schemes for all Jamaicans. Once you are qualified and now, the jlp party government ministers them is trying to mashed it up. Just like what they did to other programs, that was implemented by Michael Manley in the 1970s. Also the land lease when the jlp party government ministers them, took away the lands and gave it back to the white people them and. Some of the lands was taken by the jlp party government ministers them,I know that as fact, I don't really haveto nobody names. But they all know themselves, what they did in the 1980s. When the jlp party government ministers them destroyed the majority of the poor people programs them, they are trying to bring back one and two them. Into a very smart ways, just like what I saw Pernell Charles Jr is trying to do in Clarendon,by giving farmers lands. To worked, the same lands which was given to the pnp farmers in the 1970s. Where the jlp party government ministers them took away the lands from the farmers, and destroyed their crops. That is why crimes will never end at all, those are the things is going to caused war.The jlp party was 1st in power from 1944 to 1955, and they never know to do nothing for the poor people them and. As soon as the pnp party government ministers them, is trying to implemented programs for the poor people them. The jlp party is telling the people them, that the pnp party government ministers them is practicing communist and. The same programs them, that the jlp party government ministers them is calling communist. The jlp party government ministers them is using the same programs,as the pnp. Which they condemned by calling it communist policies, it is the programs they are resorting to. Because they have no plans to help poor people, more than fulling their pockets with taxpayers money.Micheal Manley I and the majority of Jamaican people, respect up to the ground you walked on.Because you are always trying to help the poor people them, and Seaga and his jlp party organization supporters them. Do everything within their powers, to sabotage your programs them comrade Joshua Michael Manley. Jehovah God have a special blessings for you, comrade Manley. Although you are not here in body and flesh, but your is still remembered and appreciated. By the clean hearted Jamaicans , only the evilous ones in Jamaica does not appreciated your works comrade. But your name will always remembered comrade Michael Manley,I know that the cyber bullies labourites them. Does not respect the man who helped to schooled them, because his father brought in common entrance in 1957. So that the less fortunate children them can have a proper education, but some of them does not appreciated it. Like the pm Brogad Andrew Holness and his administration colleagues ministers them, because they are very, very much ungrateful, ok.

Human rights doesn't exist but human privilege is that which exist because if not having the ability to fend of mayhem one will lose that right, example we have right to water but no one can buy a pipeline and attaches it to national water commission without financial contract which is privilege to water and not a right
