this is the most beautiful dark movie I have ever seen, full of beautiful emotions in the midst of haunting darkness and love

I consider this movie to be one of THE BEST movies ever made. The cast, the soundtrack, the visuals... are all absolutely superb in my opinion. I sit down and watch this movie occasionally and I never grow tired of seeing it. This movie really needs a full restoration and a special edition release for the movie's 25th anniversary in 2019. I really hope we might see that coming. Until then, I will continue to enjoy one of the most treasured movies in my collection.

I have to say, this film is remarkably successful in setting up a certain chilly, gothic atmosphere and a web of emotional intrigue. And the soundtrack definitely helps in that regard.

This movie is a baroque masterpiece. Way way underrated

As I recall, this is played in the opening sequence and when Louis finds the petrified ashen corpses of Claudia and Madeleine, and stares at the theater vampires hatefully.

This movie was fantastic. Hands down my favorite vampire movie since I was a child. I think everyone in the movie did an awesome job. The novel was also amazing to read. This movie should never be remade or rebooted. I thought Tom Cruise played an amazing Lestat. His Lestat was vicious and remorseless. Stuart Townsend did not and could not capture the magic of Lestat like how Tom Cruise did.

The emotions of this movie, the loss of humanity over time, the struggles and oh my god the pain of loss :(

Every Halloween, I watch this movie. I will never get tired of it. The music alone is brilliant.

the eery feeling E.Goldenthal can make out of a music score is incredible ! Same with the "Pet Sematary" soundtrack indeed. A great composer, very underrated.

I love this movie so much that since the age of 12 til now I must have watched it about 30 times... At least once a year. Because its such a masterpiece. Form the characters, the settings to the background music.

Their backs are turned to the malnourished child that cries in the gutters, to the raped harlot in her torn rags, her eyes glazed beneath the luminous midnight haze. Plague, despondence, utter loss and internal torment; but he watches, and he will give you the choice he never had.

that's a short part of this staring from 1:38 sounds really like the Witcher 3 blood & wine theme. Since the game DLC is also about vampire I find this particularly interesting.
