Vladislav Krasnov is a founder of RAGA (Russia & America Goodwill Association) and former Soviet Union defector. An author of "Russia Beyond Communism. A Chronicle of National Rebirth", "Soviet Defectors" and other books about the newest USSR and Russia history.
We've met Vladislav during his time in Moscow for an interview as with the person who saw the life inside of USSR, USA and Russia.

Thank you for providing this content. It is important for average Americans to hear the history of a region for which they have little knowledge due to lack of or poor 'world history curriculum'. Russia is NOT "the boogieman". Russia does NOT hate the USA. Russia & the USA should join together to fight 'Global Corporate Fascism'. God Bless Russia! God Bless you as well, Sergey.

Liberals in America think Russia is the boogieman because they don't have a Mrs.President, but they are just sore losers that don't want to be critical of themselves. Can't be them right? Must be Russia.

Thank you for this interview, Sergey. Wish this gentleman could address all Americans. I have always said that the American people and Russian people have more in common than we do differences. I wish we could join together for a better world. Keep up your good work, Sergey.

Many thanks for conducting this interview. It's truly enlightening and well done. I would love to see you do more interviews like this. It would be an awesome way to expand your channel, and to bring Russia and the West closer together.

Thank you for this great insight. This man, Vladislav Krasnov, is definitely a great scholar. I am neither American nor Russian or Ukrainian, but I would certainly be a part of this RAGA organization. I hope this book "Russia Beyond Communism" is available on Amazon.

I thoroughly enjoyed the conversation with Vladislav Krasnov. Real Russia has grown up and has moved out of the bathroom and into the dinning room to join in adult conversations about the pressing issues of our times. Ummm ... No offense intended towards your earlier work. I also like your videos covering the more mundane aspects of life too. But it's good to put the kids to bed, break out the liquor, and talk about things concerning politics,sex and history now and then.

I completely respect his opinion and logic. Especially with young Americans like myself. Most are very blind and ignorant to these topics talked about in the video. Keep spreading the logical truth. Long live peace and equality

They are already covertly allied, in their common effort to "drain the swamp", an operation which has been already conducted in Russia and China. The US gov needs to hide its intentions and play a double game until the patriotic military who are behind Trump, are in a position of complete control, which they do not yet have. Sergey: I have often wondered with a person like Vladislav who defected, left Russia, then returned to Russia......in some of his earliest attempts of returning .....did he incur any problems coming back to Russian soil? Do you have any insight into this? Are you able to maybe reach out to him to ask him this question? Thank You.

When he mentioned the Quebec problem with Canada, he forgot to mention how the Canadian government implemented "Martial Law" and sent out military tanks onto the streets. If that's your definition of "compromise" then I don't like it! Lol

As a long time ago political refugee, from Central Europe, I totally agree with actions and views of Vladislav Krasnov. This dialogue should be seen by every Slav abroad and in the Old Countries. It would not hurt if this dialogue would be seen by commentators on Fox News as well other Stations, especially those Stations where commentators do not know the basic history of the Slavic World. (I am willing to support RAGA). As to some comments below that this channel is going political, I do not see the connection. Fascism of any form must be exposed. The facts are that the government that came to power in Kiev, after the coup, wanted to take away the right of the people to speak Russian in their native land. The facts are that in some Baltic Republics the Russian is spoken by 40% of the population. But yet those governments want to take this right away from the people in their native land. I grew up in fascist Italy. I was severely beaten whenever I was caught speaking my native Slovenian. It is too bad that the Canadian and American governments don't see that what is going on in Ukraine and the Baltic Republics is pure Fascism, Mussolini's and Hitler's Fascism. From Canada for truth and World Peace.

In my 2 trips to the Moscow region and staying in 3 different hostels, I had many conversations with ordinary Russian people. Staying in hostels is better for conversation than hotels. It is my observation that the Russian people are friendly to USA, but don't like what the USA is doing in the world. In re-examining this, I now also feel that the USA government is not completely right in its foreign policies. To Sergey and Mr. Krasnov; keep up your good work!

You now live in one of the most interesting and intriguing cities of all Russia - city built by Peter the Great. Lots and lots of trivia, lots and lots of places to visit and to explore this strange mixture of Europe and Asia. You can learn something new about this city and about Russian history and more than that - you can teach your subscribers about these things as well. And when people discuss politics - it is almost impossible to get rid off of BS.

Sergey, I was hoping to see your journey in Saint Petersburg with the new apartment and your wife and your daughter coming to you. We see plenty of politics on American television between Russia and the United States. I do not understand why theses two American guys are in russia to talk about politics. Let the politicians take care of politics. I think that many of the people follow you on you tube to see you show the people from other countries that Russia is not how it is portrayed as the evil empire. It looks like politics are creeping into your posts. I liked what your were posting previously posting on everyday russia. Thank you.

So, where on American television do you usually listen to the Russian point of view? Nowhere, I guess? Then why not appreciate the opportunity? Sergey will obviously film more of his everyday life later, but by no means is he obliged to limit the scope of topics he covers.
@carlomorehead7186
@carlomorehead7186 6 лет назад
Valentina, RT channel in the U.S. has had some Russian point of view about the U.S. First I appreciate your response. I will not challenge you because to me it is not worth a negative discussion about it because this is exactly what politics do. Plus I respect Sergey. Sergey is not obliged in anyway to narrow his scope on anything, it is his RU-vid channel and I respect that. I did not say he should narrow his scope at all, I just prefer to watch Sergey and his family. You have a right to your opinion and I have a right to mine. So, as you stated he will show more of himself and his family on real Russia again, therefore, I will wait until then to watch those videos. I appreciate your response, I really do. It’s good for conversation, you have a good day young lady.😊
@valentinak.5853
@valentinak.5853 6 лет назад
Thanks, have a good day too. How come you guessed I'm young though? XD As for RT, it is not quite up to the job because most Americans won't for a second consider listening to "foreign agents" of a hostile nation. So, it's not the same as national American TV. It can be compared to Radio Free Europe and the like in Russia - close to no one watches or reads it. But in Russia at least actual Americans with pro-western views can speak at TV-shows on our federal channels.

Secession. Is the word. Reference re Secession of Quebec, 1998 Whereas "Canada" in Re: Authority of Parliament In Relation To The Upper House [1980] 1 S.C.R. with reference to s. 91 and 92 of The Constitution Act 1867 means Juristic federal unit and not Geographical Unit. A Juridical Unit is a Legal Person. A legal person is a Corporation. A Legal Person is also a legal fiction. A Legal Fiction is where a statute states that a corporation is a person or X is Y. An assumption that something false is true. Most Nations are both a geographical unit consisting of a group of people of a specific language who have rights and freedoms that are recognized and the juridical unit is obligated to uphold those rights and freedoms. See International Covenants. Nations are also juridical units consisting of Officers, Agents, Persons, Individuals, Trusts, Estates, and Employees incorporated into that particular jurisdiction who are burdened with a debt obligation.

this speaks to the durth of your historical knowledge my friend. More precisely the US promise to gorbachev and yeltsin never to spread nato close to russias border and just look at the dates of countries joining nato and you will see with each successive year it comes closer and closer. Inform yourself, this comment certainly hasn't aged well had it buddy

Krasnov is clearly a very thoughtful individual, he claims to be non-political but there were plenty of politics in this video. He conveniently leaves out the fact that Putin's "little green men" forcefully invaded Crimea. Additionally when he speaks about the former Yugoslavia, and complains about American intervention, he leaves out the fact that thousands of Bosnians were being systematically eliminated by the Milosevic regime. He makes a specious argument. As for Bentley, he is misguided at best. I love your videos about Russian life Sergey, but this is just one-sided propaganda.
@starwreck
@starwreck 6 лет назад
Crimea was given as a gift to Ukraine by Khruschev when they were in the same Soviet Union. Crimea is Russian historically and the people of Crimea wanted to rejoin Russia which is why they overwhelmingly voted to join the Russian Federation.

IdahoSledHead, there was no "righteous" side in the Bosnian war. *Both* Bosnian and Serbian troops committed war crimes, unleashing ancient hatreds which had been suppressed by Tito during Yugoslav times. What was wrong was for the U.S. to choose for political reasons one side over the other, then militarily tip the balance of the war. We just should have sat it out.
@mpriymak

The issue here is that you are unable to consider the fact that the narrative with which you operate is also propaganda.
