@@peterisaacson6953 I think when humans are confronted with extreme life or death situations, it’s hard to hold on to your religion. That’s all. This guy may have been in the front lines, and deals with the feelings that come with that type of situation. But yeah. You are right. It’s supposed to be a joke right? Well it’s a joke for mormans because I really don’t know the rules, and I don’t think most of society knows the intricacies of the rules which make it an inside joke of sorts. But ya, some religions can be odd. But you have Stephen Covey. Hang your hat on that one.

PTSD isn't a repercussion for everyone. My Mormon brother served 8 tours in Iraq and Afghanistan without being diagnosed with it.

You can go to war and not kill anyone. The military has medics and chaplains who don't even carry weapons onto the battle field.

You don't have to kill anyone in war. My brother served in 2 wars and never even took a gun with him into the war zones.

@@Smcsnacks most humans dont steal, cheat, or beat spouse. Most of us go to work, workout, hang out with family, and sleep and repeat. I dont rape, steal, kill, etc so why do i need to repent to a made up being.

Missionaries barely ever get a day off. Missionaries are always doing their most to spread the gospel and it can take up all of their time

I doubt you've read it. It's not even confusing at all. All the stories/parables make perfect sense if you take some time think about them. It's not at all like a normal book when you just read a bunch of chapters at a time, you are meant to think about them.

Trust me, if a 12 yr old can understand it, you can too.

@@peterisaacson6953 Girl I'm 14 and started reading at the beginning of summer and I read certain circled parts of it and it was fr confusing! Soo?... And I'm not Mormon I'm Christian so its probably didn't help as well!

@BTippets no they were indoctrinated as children . They were taught this nonsense before the age of reasoning by people they trusted. Who in turn were indoctrinated as children. Very rarely do you see full grown adults come upon religion on their own. Have you ever noticed that it is so very important for the churches to get to the children as young as possible? Why not wait until the person is old enough to reason for theirselves?

@BTippets yes I agree every religion. The religious sect knows if that happens there would be no more religion. You may see new people into your church all the time but they are not new to religion. They, and I don’t mean 100%, are mostly changing churches. I am sure a very few are changing their religion in whole or non believers all of a sudden believing. Think about this, if you had never heard of the religious stories (virgin mother, rising from the dead, or a single entity making everything happen) at the age you are now would you believe them as truth? I find it hard to believe anyone would but I also find it hard to believe people don’t question their indoctrination…
