The autor of this song Victor Jara was killed during Pinochet dictatorship.....but Victor continues to be alive in the Chilean people

"La partida" is a melody written by Chilean musician and singer-songwriter Víctor Jara. It is from the album El derecho de vivir en paz, the singer-songwriter's sixth studio album as a soloist, originally released in April 1971 on the DICAP label. In addition to the original version, the melody has a studio version and a live version from the 1999 album Inti-Illimani interpreta a Víctor Jara, by the band Inti-Illimani.

To me, the version by Inti Illimani of the song "Charagua" is like the sister song of "La partida", I think it can make you happy too.

Tienes que escuchar Teoria de cuerdas. Bueno y tantos mas de Inti, Illapu Violeta Parra etc. este estilo de musica junto a los Jaivas an construido un universo paralelo en latino America.

As a Chilean with a love for the folk music from my country, I've always felt that this song was very reminiscent of The Legend Of Zelda lol, I can definetely get why you would think about fantasy settings. It feels as if setting on a journey through lands far ancient than time itself.

Es una banda muy querida en Chile y Latinoamérica, está es una canción de Victor Jara, un dato interesante: Inti illimani grabaron 2 álbumes con John Williams (el guitarrista clásico) y también han tocado con Peter Gabriel y Bruce Springsteen .
