Really great videos. You obviously can't get the full experience just watching videos, but it's fun and exciting, nonetheless. Especially if you've spent time on the water. Thoroughly enjoyable. I haven't owned a boat in more than 20 years, and my last was just a 19.5 foot Cuddy Cabin, but I'm chomping at the bit to get another one. I'd love to find something in the 45 - 47 foot range, but I could also be right at home on something like that Cruisers. It would almost certainly be an even better choice for 'The Loop,' should I decide to do it. I know it'd be a little _easier_ to single-hand. I think once you spend some time on the water it's in your blood for life. As humans, we seem to have an inherent attraction to water. Since I sold my last boat I've never stopped thinking about getting another. My goal was always to get a bigger boat, but then life got in the way, and the years went by. Rob and Sarah are going to do great as owner/operators. They both seem very confident in their developing skills, and having confidence is a big part of doing anything. Like they say, _"If you think you can, or you think you can't - you're right."_ Embarking on a trip like that, with someone that's more experienced (Cullen), is a fantastic way to learn. You naturally find yourself in situations you may never encounter by just puttering around a few miles from your home port.
When we brought our 28 Express from GA to MD my son would say we were in the battle of our lives. It's a crazy experience of pressure, joy, fear, and excitement.
Just watched your latest passage. "Livin' the dream." I have fair experience on the Carver 32, also a nice cruising vessel. As I shared with you when you get your CC Corinthian, we had one just like yours, here on Michigan. Now we are bootless but enjoy following your adventures. God bless you, and keep up the good work. John
The reason it is so shallow going south in the ICW to Jekyll Island is because the Corp. of Engineers have not dug it out for many many years. I remember when it was plenty deep.
