I've also had a blast playing the game these past 20+ years, and I've enjoyed every minute of it. Can't say I've really made any friends from it, but I still have many good memories with friends I got to play it along with me. I may not do much with pvp, but still enjoy going back to play the campaigns and enjoying the cutscenes and just losing myself in the music.

I loved Spartan Ops so much, I wish they kept Spartan Ops going into future games. It was so ahead of its time as a concept. Spartan Thorn became one of my favorite Halo characters very fast. I wish he was in more. Apparently he was intended to be in H5 as a member of Osiris and I wish that was real.

Also just to point it out since it came up again, like I did on the last video, the Halo rings do not destroy the Flood, they destroy the Flood's *food* to starve them of Biomass and prevent the formation of a Gravemind. The Flood themselves are just some like... spores, basically. There's really nothing you could do to wipe them out, so you have to essentially cut off their supply lines.

Man I would be lying if I said the chief and weapon scenes with Cortana’s narrative on it hit straight in the heartstrings. Hunt the truth (season one only) is some of my favourite audio media of all time. I listened to it weekly when the new eps would drop. It was so engrossing and even to this day the soft bell chimes that serve as the series main theme still gives me chills. And the ending still breaks my heart

What a great journey this was. Highs, lows and middle grounds. I never did grow up with halo but I won't deny that it's an awesome series. I dunno if anything halo will be revealed tomorrow but if something does get shown, damn, I wanna hear your thoughts on that! As for next time......from one sci-fi galaxy to another....but not just any galaxy...... it's THE galaxy, one we all grew up with. I dunno how you plan to tackle that given that YT is....well stingy with copyright stuff, but I will be there to see it. A new and improved..... retrospective on a galaxy far, far away.....

The fact that Cortana was killed off in a cutscene, OFFSCREEN, while Chief was still asleep is a story crime with very few equals. The fact that they took out such a character that is arguably as well known as the main protagonist himself, off screen in a timeskip, is just... Bad. There's really nothing else to say for it. It's bad.

Been loving these videos. It’s nice to catch up with the franchise. The last game I played in full was Halo 3 and I only played ODST a bit with a friend so this has been real sweet to watch these. I'm 32 and I have played all the games except infinite. The way Halo 5's story played out really put me off. But since Halo has been such an important part of my life I WANTED to buy and play this game. But I just decided not to. The main reason was I tried so effing hard to buy the special edition Xbox it wasn't even funny. I took days off work, drove hundreds of miles to different towns because they might be getting some( I live in a mostly rural area) but I simply couldn't get one and I refuse to pay scalpers. Additionally it was literally impossible to buy an xbox period. But once I saw that it was open world WOTHOUT CO-OP it really just didn't interest me anymore idk why. So I just moved over to PC and me and all my friends just play MCC instead. I know the global shut down messed with Xbox release. But holy cow I think this game was not as successful as it could of been is because this whole game didn't get the time that it really needed honestly couple that with hard to find xbox systems and it put a lot of people off. The TV show is complete garbage too. Why does the story always have to be changed🙄 can tell 100% the budget was low

Not sure if it's false or true, but apparently 343 haven't finished tarnishing the lore of Halo and will be "remaking" Halo CE to also play on PS5 and a certain RU-vidr is wetting himself with hopium glee.. If it's true: I'm Fully Done with Halo as a franchise/IP. I was SO gassed for Infinite I can't even put into coherent words, especially after hearing it'd be set on Zeta Halo. The most ancient most mysterious most history revealing ring out of the Halo array, but was also still Very skeptical of 343 and the pile of trash heap that was Guardians which would be continued on in Infinite. True to 343 fashion and style, they retcon Everything from their previous game (off screen, mind you) and gave us a lacklustre, bland, open world with nothing to do, terrible A.I on enemies, a retconned Cortana Again, the most powerful UNSC ship that even the Didact, a Forerunner couldn't stop, but gets obliterated within 5mins by Brutes who separated from the Covenant??!!... Really?! A cliffhanger ending with no continuation in sight at Any time soon. Missing characters. Missing staples of the franchise like Marines, ODSTs, other UNSC ships.. Hell, I've seen people say The Flood isn't the be all and end all of Halo.... Err, did you Not play the original trilogy?! They are a universal, not galactic threat that could consume the ENTIRE universe, plus, there are Still flood spores and combat forms on the Halo rings scattered throughout the galaxy, not to mention the Graveminds consciousness existing beyond space and time where even if one is destroyed, it's consciousness just finds it's way to the nearest mind giving That next Graveminds more knowledge wisdom and cunning. The Endless will be replaced offscreen and the Infinity will be back to its original state and Chief will probably have left Zeta Halo behind... All off screen ofc.

Going into this I know it’s going to shit on halo 5s campaign but man I loved it as someone who read every book and every terminal and played everything. I’m so upset that halo infinite just skipped what happened with Cortana because I couldn’t wait. Also halo 5s MP is my favorite as well with how competitive it felt. Interested in seeing how this goes.

As much as I trash Halo 5, I think it’s probably the one I got the “best” at in the multiplayer sector. I wasn’t really that good, I’ve always been a campaign fan, but I got really into it. I’m a lifelong halo player, but I gotta admit the advanced movement and sweaty lobbies were great until they weren’t lmao. Also I did put a lot of time into Warzone as well. Idk, it wasn’t the best Halo game, but I’ll admit when it’s good.

The forerunner series is just a mess and tbh I don't really blame 343 because they do have so much incredible talent. I do blame Microsoft and its insane corporate hiring practices. As a project lead I can’t imagine having to retrain a new person every 13-18 months all because Microsoft didn't want to pay benefits. Like bro is a trillion dollar company and bought Activision for nearly $69 billion. And it honestly seems explains why Microsofts products are the way they are.

Everyone complains about Halo 5’s marketing, but never complain about the first reveal for Infinite which was practically nothing like the game. And aside from the textures up close, everything looked very play-doh-esque with awful rigging on the animals and rubbery plastic for the soldiers and Chief. That was my first big red flag about Infinite that was overlooked by everyone else Infinite was such a drastic “course correct” it’s whiplash inducing and failed to deliver on all the promise set up by 5 and Wars 2 and delivered and excessively weak, repetitive, and bland game that looked worse than it did before

I will die on the hill that Halo should've never been a "open world", the bungie trilogy were Halo games first just with added exploration Halo isn't LoZ, or Fallout, I'm sick of devs trying to make games open world that it shouldn't be Infinite didn't feel like old school Halo...the "boss fights" as well as non-linear missions were stupid additions, & don't get me started with the ridiculous "fast travel" feature 😒😒 Fire everyone in 343 they don't deserve Halo

Summoningsalt did something similar by tier-listing each of his videos. I could see Prime doing the same with his series or just updating what he thinks about those series in update videos on said series (like a part 5 or 6 for the MCU)

Halo "Infinite" is such a perfectly ironic name if you think about it. There seems to be an infinite amount 1h+ videos tearing 343 a new one. Talking with friends about 343 and how they messed up Halo seems to always become a endless converation because of 343's infinite amount of problems.
