@@alomon7738if someone tried to steal your wife would you not fire him? Poland was stealing stuff and Broderick and Friedman both left the band. (idk what happened with Al Pitrelli, perhaps just the 2002 breakup ended his time.)
Jeff Young is a beast. Way underrated. People think sucks because he isn't Marty Friedman (and also because Dave Mustaine has slandered him a lot over the years). But that's completely ignorant.
@@herbieolivares1740 Al Pitrelli and Jimmy Degrasso were both out when Dave Mustaine injured his arm and ended the band for a year. Then after his arm healed, Dave was going to do a solo project called "Mustaine" but the label wanted another Megadeth album. The songs that ended up on the System has failed were originally going to be on his solo album. He wasn't interested in hiring Al and Jimmy back on. He also had a falling out with Ellefson by then too & ellefson tried to sue him.
@@TruckerC1 A "song", by definition has voice included. That's why it's called like that. Because someone is "singing." Into the Lungs of Hell is an instrumental, hence not a "song."
@The_Buff_Guy I know what you mean, I should express this gives off a closer energy to 1980s Megadeth than the current Megadeth shows can. That might be due to the lack of club and theatre shows available to watch.
He didn't write any of it he layed down the in my darkest hour solo at his audition and Dave hired him and soon regretted it. Jeff wanted to be what Dave already was but we all know that wasn't happening. He was a fuckin surfer dude poser
@@nimaakhtarkhavari8766 yeah but HE Didn't write them. He played music that Dave wrote. He contributed nothing to megadeth just like Chuck Buehler. That lineup is so forgettable yeah sfsgsw is a good album but not because of Jeff and chuck.
It was the first album I've heard back then. My friend made a copy of his tape and said I should listen to it and since 1988 Megadeth has been my favorite band, seen them at least once on every tour since. This album is under-rated and so is that line-up.
@@itsalwayssomething7490 Yeah, it's weird how it gets overlooked in favor of RIP. Save the Sex Pistols cover, every song is a winner. I got a copy in 1988, too 😁 A friend taped this and Among The Living at the same time, 8th grade was awesome 🤘🤘🤘
Another classic Megadeth breakdown riff that just makes the hairs on my arms stand up. Glad to see these guys keeping the songs alive. Thoroughly enjoyed this performance. And so good to see Jeff & Junior together again.
I agree.. just went to see megadeth recently.. and it's the same set list.. they need to play more of the older classics.. but Dave can do the vocals anymore.. but who cares.. play something else..hell ill take just instrumentals... lol
The Megadeth album that got me interested in Megadeth. Loved this album as a kid. No other Megadeth album has ever had the dark cynical feel of this album.
Is weird how this album gets bypassed ...hook in mouth and 502 are belters. The only 2 I weren't crazy on was anarchy & Mary jane. All the others are immense
AND they are playing them in their original tunings. Even if Mustaine played these songs live again they might not feel the same, but I'd still see him live.
@@scottcolston9117ye. So far so good had a Brill vibe. Production was incredible. Video to in my darkest hour, mustaine in the shadows blowing smoke out over this unique sounding riff. Incredible discovery for me.
Awesome. 8k views in no time. These are definitely the songs Megadeth fans want to hear. Thanks for all of the comments to the video. The show was amazing and I really hope they keep this thing going. Were there mistakes? Sure. But this was only the second gig in a trial run. If they take this thing out larger I trust it will be fully dialed in. Even rough, this show was amazing and super fun. Way better than most recent Megadeth shows. I felt that way and heard many of the same comments that night. Hope it makes it to your city and you give it a shot. If you do, I guarantee you won't be disappointed.
What??!! Like holy frickin crap !! I'm 46 years old and I can only remember seeing this like when I was 11 or 12 years old at the Cameo theater on Miami beach back in the day , I went to this show like way back then when so far, so good , so what !! Came out!!! I was rather fortunate to say the least , and God bless this time of metal , the days that it was true , thank you for this
This is bad ass. . Right on. . Very cool 😎. Love this. . Jeff Young is killing it. Such a bad ass guitar player And very underated too. . Them guitar solos too CRANK IT UP LOUD. 😎. . 🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘🤘
Awesome. Jeff and Chris are my favorite guitarists from this legendary band. It would be really great if they could get Chuck Behler back on the drums!
Saw these guys in February and it was a good time. The crowd was sparse honestly, this was the first time I've ever been able to get right up to the stage for a show. I wasn't expecting a packed house considering this is kind of a niche thing, but it was even more dead than I thought it was going to be. It was still a good time, it was fun hearing these songs and I even caught a few picks from Jeff.
I love to know how the thrash metal still alive in the hearts of many people in the world. And Congratulate ourselves for being witness of the thrash metal history. Unforgettable!
Very similar here. SFSGSW was the first thrash album I ever owned. Saved a week of school lunch money to buy it in 7th grade. Everything changed after that. I couldn't buy music fast enough. Peace Sells, KIMB, Metallica, Slayer, Anthrax, Testament, Sacred Reich, etc.
Absolutely love this! It’s so great to see Jeff Young and David reunite to do this. I’ve always been skeptical about what truly happened to Jeff, now I know it’s true. Mustaine just spews lies about Junior and Jeff. Super stoked to see this come together.
Awesome stuff, sounded great (although I did noticed you missed the chord change whilst tapping playing into the lungs of hell... you fixed that up quick smart on the fly). Loved set the world on fire.... one of my favourite Megadeth songs.... thanks and cheers mate.
For sure would be interesting. But the Marty and Nick lineup was amazing, and Rust In Peace turned out absolutely perfect. I'm just glad these guys are keeping the old school Deth alive today!
