Into the Wilds of Scotland: Rounding Ardnamurchan point + discovering stunning Loch Moidart | Ep 12

This week we sail from Tobermory in Mull around Ardnamurchan Point, the most westerly point of mainland Britain and a headland with a fearsome reputation for strong waves in rough weather. Luckily we have a some unusually sunny weather and a good motor and sail around to Loch Moidart, one of the most wild and scenic lochs we stayed in over the summer. We had an issue with our anchor windlass that needed fixing before we could head out on a hike to take in the scenery, dream about cornettos and get tricked by OS maps into thinking our route was full of fords.

Aw really beautiful vlog 😍 We live on the Ardnamurchan in our wee self-converted camper van 🚑 Our hope this year is to buy a wee boat and learn how to sail. Your video just makes us want to do that even more 🤩 Thanks for sharing 😁

Thanks! Glad you are enjoying them :) We are working hard to get better. The footage is 6 months old though, so it's a pretty long feedback loop for that part of it! - Stu

Just stumbled across your videos and have enjoyed your trip up her to our local cruising area. It’s always nice to see others take on where we sail and we’ve even picked up a few things we will look at this year.
