Awesome! Way to go in getting this car out! I'm an avid dirt biker in this area and saw this car right after it was left. It's been up there since the end of July. I kept telling my self I was going to email you guys to come and work your magic to reopen the trail. Thanks for helping the cause in getting this trail reopened! I was super excited to see this video. When I saw the cover picture I knew exactly what you were up to! You can't keep people from doing stupid stuff, but when it happens it's great to know you're here to help. Thanks.
@@Yikeo it still doesnt make any sense to trash the car even if its written off alrdy. also if they start losing fluids in the woods thats shitty and they should pay for it so why risk it...
I really appreciates the amount of hard work you guys put into everything you do. On behalf of Idaho, I’d like to thank you guys for coming out to help clean up the beautiful gem state. Keep it up, you guys are doing things the police can’t seem to comprehend how you solve these so fast but you’ll are smart and trained bet well.
These Recoverys are why I started watching Heavy D. I had gotten an Avant420 stuck and was just looking for a couple answers on rigging. He popped up a couple years ago, and he we are! Much Love and thanks for another vid!
@@theburtseoni Ageed!!! He has been thru a lot of adversity!!! With me, I can say that it does affect you greatly, as I'm not the person I was in my younger years! Too many risks were made! :)
yes! Alan is a gem! Wish he had his own camera man & a crew to work on his mountain fortress, would love to see this more completed. Like windows & trees ect.
We haven't seen Hunter in awhile and we've missed him. Glad he's back!! Watching Hans and Diesel's facial expressions while they were riding in the car was funny. When they both gritted their teeth, you knew something big was coming. Poor Go Pro. Hopefully the little guy survives.
I rode over the mountain pass in Sedona Arizona in a 4 door Buick Lesaber. Right past tricked out jeeps. Chicago potholes were my training grounds. ... and the rental wasn't damaged in any way.
Can't Wait for your new Helo to be ready! You could've long-lined it out and onto a trailer at the main road in an hour! That will be the Epic Recoveries and Cleanups that nobody else can even come close. That machine will open up many New adventures, going to be Great!!! 👍👍
Yeah, at 20 times the cost of doing it this way. We haven't heard anything about the chopper, I'm beginning to wonder if they worked out what it costs to operate a Blackhawk and thought better of the whole deal.
@@marvindebot3264 The Big cost is like a cheeseburger for Dave's income, and his viewership will Skyrocket, plus he will have more forestry business since he doesn't need roads. It will all work out fine for him.
Trust me, he has the chopper! It’s coming soon :) I live next to Dave and seen it flying over head a few times. I don’t know why they haven’t shown it on the channel yet.
@Rob C Well what do you expect when the talk was of a special channel devoted to the chopper rework etc and then nothing but crickets? Of course, questions are going to be asked. The guy is a businessman (a good one), not a saint.
Dude Diesel brothers BOUGHT that car and put it there... I don't get why not more people see trough this BS. They bought the car to make content for RU-vid
Nice job on the recovery. I can totally understand and respect this terrain. I recognized the whole way you guys drove in and the dirt road path. I grew up dirt bike riding up that mountain road to the top to be able to see the view of the valley below. I know that area l, it is a awesome pretty area. Out side of Pocatello Idaho.
So nice to that sisu😍. I drove one of Those in finnish military back in the day. Newer had any overheating isues hauling a 120mm mortar, but thats just the finnish weather. What i beast of a machine. Goes through anything.
I hope i can get help like you all do if i ever breakdown or get stuck where my property is . It takes 4 hours of off-road roads to get to and its stressful knowing there’s no help if your get stuck or something happens
@@Randomperson0467 - Absolutely. They take a car with no noticeable damage and completely destroy it dragging it down through a narrow rough and wooded trail, when they could have simply DROVE it back on the smoother trail it came in on.
I live in Pocatello and ran into this car stuck on the trail while dirt biking ! Got a video of it and everything about a month ago. Glad you guys got it removed!
Yeah, because they bought that car, put it in a dirtroad spot and then named the title: Intoxicated Driver Takes Car On 20 Miles Of ATV Trails and Needs Insane Recovery Just to get those RU-vid views... Can't believe not more people see trough this BS...
Looks like a great time even one having having a good old time doing good things. All of you know there is a lot of us on your side if you ever need us, we will be there for you to. Thank you for everything you do.
Really cool recovery! It would be an honor to be a part of your recovery team! Thanks so much for taking the time to make these videos. Please stay safe and healthy God bless.👍
Great episode! The Sisu Nasu is one cool recovery veichle. I drove the original BV-206 in the Norwegian Army many years ago. Had never a problem overheating , but it IS made for use in Lappland , Northern Scandinavia. You know the linkage between the front and rear wagon? At least on the BV-206, it's made several blades of spring steel. As you drive it heats up, and gets softer and "bendier" This makes for better traction , but it also gets easier to tip one wagon over. If you happen to tip the rear or front wagon, you have 5 - 10 minutes to secure the still standing wagon to some trees or something. As the link bar cools off, it will stiffen up, and recover the tipped wagon.
This was an interesting recovery I was surprised they got that car that far on that tight trail I was really impressed. I have been a fan for a while I love the videos
I think they didn't return the way they came, most likely took shortcut just for fun and cool shots. Some places were so steep there's no way the honda would have got through the first time with bumbers intact.
What a fun recovery!!! 🙂Editor kept it real by not editing out one of the guys relieving themselves (9:53) LMAO 🙂 I cringed seeing the Mazda being dragged on the payment with front tire missing and spewing sparks near the dry grass.
I live in pocatello, just down the road from where you recovered the vehicle and I would have loved to come see you guys in action, but the video was fun. Thanks for coming up my way.
Thought that I've seen it aII -- nope! Was hoIding my breath through most of this crazy, insane car recovery...now to do a "recovery" on my mind!!! You guys ROCK!
I had a old tow truck for awhile. 30 years of Class A Driving, operating many types of equipment was fun. Now I care for my home in California. Treat it like a park for visitors. Dawns here 🌞my sister lives in Idaho!
These recovery's are the best, I always look forward to them. Just be safe when you do it. Things can change your life in a matter of fractions of a second. I already found that out.
Thank you heavy D and crew for cleaning up the leftover debris by careless people at Mario show your enthusiasm for the environment thank you for your entertainment
Great video, love the closing of the video Heavy D. You and the guys are humble. The world needs more great people. We are In Ky, Hopefully you're down this way sometime. Stay safe brother.
If you put hinges on the front push bar and curved plates on the top (to help reduce destruction on the top bar), You wouldn't have to remove the push bar at all. Just have a locking mechanism to keep it in place, unlock when you need to get to the rad, reline your winch etc. you wont have to take out those 8 bolts.. Simply take out the pins... Just like hood pins for a removable hood. The curved plated on the top bar are for the winch lines itself.
Hans cracks me up🤣😂🤣. The style of the videos has sure changed from the earlier ones. They're definitely much more... theatrical!🥳. It's fun, but I kinda miss the style of the older videos. They just felt more personal... less TV'ish. Anyways, not complaining - I haven't missed a video since I found your channel about a month or so ago, and that's not changin'. All the best to each of you. Everyone! God bless.👍🏼 Heather🇨🇦
LOL so I got to ask, when did you guys actually realize the Gopro was missing, and when did you go back to pick it up - I swear that was funny LOL, glad y'all added - Thank you!
Legend has it that GoPro's still waiting to be found to this day.. Was eagerly waiting for the moment of realization by one of the team that something's missing from the car 🤭😄
Dope recovery, just the work you guys are doing taking care of the environment and having fun at the same time. Was waiting to see the recovery of the go pro.... haha
Great video y’all and glad that y’all were able to recover it, but who remembered about the lost GoPro and who ended up having to go back to get it. Some times I think there should be a way to put a small recovery cord on them in case they do get knocked off they will only fall maybe 3-4”
I have three things to say. 1. How do I get a job here? Lol, you guys have way too much fun. 2. I'll never take diesel Dave drinking. He could down beer so fast I'd go broke. 3. I love those susv (small unit support vehicle). I drove one more times than I can count when I was in the army in Alaska. Great tracked vehicle. But it problem with them was just the opposite. No heat. Lol
I working on starting a DIY Auto Shop here in the Pocatello area. If anyone out there can help, I could use a little help doing this. I’m a disabled combat veteran trying to start a business that I can run and use to help other veterans.
Just wants you boys to know I've been fans for years and appreciate everything you do for the less fortunate. Also don't mind the positivity you peddle. ✨️
I look forward to all of your videos. My favorite is when you took the crew out on the boats. That is how it should be. I recently stopped at your shop maybe 3 weeks ago when I rode my Harley from Florida to California and back. Nobody was there except for a couple of your fabricators working on the gate. When I realized I parked in a no parking zone and went to move my bike one of the guys lit some firecrackers behind me. Guys I never laughed so dang hard in my life. And it's obvious your employees love working there. Keep doing the good things you do. You are definitely doing it right from what I witnessed. And no I didn't ask for a tour because that's not who I am. Maybe next time everyone will be around. If not no big deal. Ask the Spanish guys if they remember lighting fire crackers at some dude on a Harley. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂We all laughed, some great guys you have working with you.
I know you were being nice. Mexican dudes don't mind being called Mexicans. Nothing wrong with Mexico, in fact, Mexico is a good friend to the US. We will be getting even closer as supply chains are moved from China to Mexico. It's happening fast too. US and Mexico are going to be close trading partners and it will benefit the Mexican people too. I got a bunch of Mexican friends.
Thank you for introducing me to Adventures With Purpose when they sorted out your boat. Thank you guys for taking your time to clean up the environment. We don't own this planet we share it with other animals, insects, birds and aquatic creatures and yet we as a species seem hell bent on destroying it or causing all sorts of problems to the ecology and balance. Once it's past fixing this planet will die along with all the life on it. So once again thank you for caring.
I loved this "recovery" in beautiful Idaho heading out with a tracked vehicle, I'm partial to tracked vehicles from my involvement in the skiing industry. And your team has such a grand time doing what they like doing. Woohooo. It would take a bit of effort to put the Mazda back in road worthy condition but hey, it's not in the wilderness any more.
Thank god your back at recoveries, the 15 minute long advertisements were shady ass fuck. I lost some respect when you guys did that, thought your Friend was actually in trouble just like the wizard. Hopefully you guys can get my respect back with recoveries again,
When I was in my 20's, I used to take my '90 Sonata into places that were only meant for trucks, but I'm a fairly skilled driver. Despite that, one time I picked the wrong side of the ruts in the winter and slid down into them, bottoming out on the frame, just shy of the clearing that headed back to the main dirt road. Me and my friends spent the whole night digging, pushing, and using fallen logs to try and get loose, got the car about 25 ft further back before burning the alternator out from all the heat from the high revving. Boiled off most of the coolant too. We spent the night there, and the next day we walked into town and bought a new battery, and called a friend of a friend with a big lifted truck to come tug us out the rest of the way. The truck was having issues and wouldn't go into four wheel drive, and couldn't get even halfway into where the car was stuck. In the end, me and one of my friends were still trying to push it out while the rest figured out the truck situation, and I'd got it about 3/4 of the way forward out of the most recent hole we'd dug with the tires and was sitting on the brakes while my friend was getting ready to give it another shove backwards(backwards was downhill so that was the direction we'd been trying to push it in), but I accidentally released the brake and started to fall back into the hole(I was exhausted), so I just gave 'er and that SOB pulled itself backwards the rest of the way back out to the main road all on it's own without a lick of help after we'd been stranded all night running ourselves ragged trying to get it unstuck...like the car just hadn't been cooperating because it was mad at me for getting it stuck, but had finally had enough and wanted to leave....drove it the rest of the way into town, parked it and had it towed...
I live in the alps and can tell you normal cars can go a long way offroad, if you know what you're doing. Having said that, think I'm gonna buy a Mazda now 😂
so sorry i wouldnt know how to do that. I'm 56 and not good with computers, but don't care I prefer to hang out with people in person🤣 But I like to watch your videos and wonderful humor😆
I know of this car in oregon that was sent off a cliff and sits in the top of some trees a couple hundred feet up the mountain. the forest service knows its there but won't recover it because it's to dangerous. Would love to see you guys recover that
Used to be good content now it’s nothing more than a long commercial constantly trying to sell stuff. Y’all have plenty of money and ways to make it, quit using RU-vid for that other than when you genuinely have something to share every once in awhile, not every last single video you do now.
Wish I had known about you guys back in 2016. Can't believe I didn't. I had a recovery out past Naf, Idaho then. Very similar situation to this one. Car still drives too!
If you're such a fan of AG1, then drink it on camera every video you do sponsored by them. This video is more than likely another fake scenario setup by your crew for views or them to buy your merch.
