Gold standard for HOI4 tutorials that I've found on YT, much appreciated keep it up! Concise and clear, love the decision to break the videos down in 10+ minutes focusing on each aspect, rather than some behemoth 2hr tutorial that just looks impenetrable lol. TY :)
Really appreciate these videos! I did a game where I just played before watching any vids. I played as US and stopped Dec 1st, 1941. Then I watched your videos, started a new game, played as US again, and stopped on the same day. Then I compared the two saves. The difference was incredible! Thank you!
I have watched several 'beginner' videos, yours have been the best so far. Thank you for being so thorough and explaining every click (or right-click)! It's very helpful to have such clear instruction.
Thanks so much!! I "watch" a lot of RU-vid without actually watching so find it really helpful when I can still follow along just by audio, so I'm glad I'm able to bring that to my videos in a way!
I sooooo much needed exactly this type of tutorial at the very beginning. Actually, I’m not that far from the beginner lvl 😅, so it’s still very useful! Many thanks ❤!
Great video! I have a small request, or rather some constructive criticism. The audio levels for spoken voice is too quiet. I am suggesting that you increase these levels by 4dB - 6dB.
@@TylerChristensen69420 Thanks for the feedback! You're absolutely right, it's far too quiet in these earlier videos, I'm glad you agree that the sound is better as I go along, it's a long learning process and hopefully you can see the improvements as I do! Thanks for the support :D (And if you have feedback on any of the other vids please let me know! It'll just make them better!)
I never use battle plans because they frick up my attacks i only use front line orders and then i micro with the armor and motorized well the infantry is lagging behind cause i already destroyed the armys by running them over and just taking the remaining ports and stuff lol
its my 3rd playthrough as germany, I am having problems with frabce and belgium and I literally had 200 divisions attacking belgiums 7 divisions and their divisions kept coming back for like 3 years until I lost everything 😂
With smaller nations, I only have 1 general I can choose. How do I recruite a new one? I saw in videos there should be a button on the bottom left for PP to add a new one, for me the button says 'see field commanders' or something like that. How can I recruite new generals? I also have no field marshall option. Do I have to promote a division leader to general, then a general to a field marshall? I have all DLCs on (might be a mistake on my part, but its more fun this way even if I'm losing)
I'll make a video on this, but in your officer corp, you can open up the "officers" tab and you can promote divisional commanders to generals. THen when you are in the general menu, you can promote a general to a field marshall
I will skip the cutscene to story games only if I have seen he scene already recently. If it's been a little while since I've seen the scene, I'll watch it again. I play story games for the story, not necessarily the game but, if I just saw a scene 2 minutes ago because I died 30 seconds ago, I'll skip it.
@@hammotimee I was always partial to the old school Parasite Eve and the not so old Dante's Inferno. The live action Wing Commander series were pretty awesome, too.
The yellow ! Usually means your divisions have not enough org to move, or moving to where they are meant to go will put them out of supply. Best way to fix this is select the division and right click near where you want them to go and it should fix itself! Or also there may be no path for them to get where you want them to go
Can you assign two separate armies to the same front and keep the generals? Every time I try to assign them to the line, then transfer from one general to another
Now you mention it, I'm not sure if I said! Select the divisions you want to assign to the army, then right click on the generals portrait OR hold control and right click to the frontline of the army you want them to be assigned to! 🪖
